i invite you to post some of your most memorable moments, good or bad they are your memories if your willing to share.

My first memorable moment i will share with you all was when my first born came into this world. Though i was not there to share the moment with my wife it really hit me hard when I came back from Europe on a visit.
Being in a world of destruction for nearly a year and coming home to this was very emotional for me.

Thx for reading and sharing

Mine is also the birth of my daughter.
But what should have been a happy joyful time was stressfull and hellish. And 2 years later still dealing with some fall out.
She came 6 weeks early via emergency c section.
As my wife was diagnosed with HELLP Syndrome.

Something changed in my wife.
Long story short while our daughter was living in the NICU at the Royal Alex. My wife was locked in the basement. Which is a (in my words) "holding tank for the loonie bin".
She spent 4 nights in there and was limited to contact with our daughter. To which I had to be present. Ended up taking a leave of absence.
Then when they deemed her better and let her out, she was able to move back up into the womans ward.
Wife was in the hospital for over a month. Kid was 1 day shy of a month. She was born at 4lbs 8ounces. And was almost at 5lbs then started losing weight. Got down to 4lbs 3 ounces. And was placed on the failure to thrive list.
This I believe was caused by the battle between the nurses and my wife. Who only wanted to breast feed. I signed papers authorizing the nurses to do bottle fed top ups as needed.
And of course this now involved child services and couch doctors. To whom my wife would just ignore and not talk to. Which doesn't help the situation.
When I finally got to bring my girls home. We were getting 2 social service visits a week to the house. This went on for 4 months. Then it was one visit a week followed by a second phone call once in a while.
Totaling 8 months of these visits.
My wife would be doing good. Here attitude growing positive. Then after each visit she would tank.
Most of last year she could barely look at me. Said it was my fault she got locked up. Because I sided with the doctors not her.
The 1st winter I ended up on a sled trip to Valemount, and never told her. We weren't speaking.

But things are getting better. Kid is doing awesome. 2.5 years old. 55lbs. Wearing size T6 and 11 in shoes.
Slowly day by day the wife is starting to talk to me again and acknowledge that I live in the house.

Talking about children from some of the above post's.
As a memerable moment is the time's the children would come out of hiding and run up to us asking for candies. You could feel some pulling on your pants with hands out. I would fill my cargo pockets full of candies and chocolates. LOL
They were living in hell but yet their eyes and smiles were so bright. Makes me wonder what ever happened to many of them.

When it came to sledding one of my favorite time was when I was a member of the forum Dootalk, before S&M for me LOL.
I was the organizer of an annual 3 day mountain ride with members who took part. We had prizes and a lottery draw in the evening and I got to meet some awesome people and ride with them. Some I still occasionally ride with and others I stay in contact and see at times.
It was a social occasion that brought a lot of laughs and fun with many smiles.
Any of the old Dootalk mountain ride crew are reading this, KB and I say hi and hope all is well.

Some of the members of the old Dootalk mountain crew, not everyone is in the picture for some reason, maybe out riding, don't remember. There were 21 members in all.
I will try to find a whole crew picture, I may have one.
