When it came to sledding one of my favorite time was when I was a member of the forum Dootalk, before S&M for me LOL.
I was the organizer of an annual 3 day mountain ride with members who took part. We had prizes and a lottery draw in the evening and I got to meet some awesome people and ride with them. Some I still occasionally ride with and others I stay in contact and see at times.
It was a social occasion that brought a lot of laughs and fun with many smiles.
Any of the old Dootalk mountain ride crew are reading this, KB and I say hi and hope all is well.

Some of the members of the old Dootalk mountain crew, not everyone is in the picture for some reason, maybe out riding, don't remember. There were 21 members in all.
I will try to find a whole crew picture, I may have one.

Were they all rich with multiple toys or just have one and do their own maintenance to avoid having the dealer gouging the hell, out of them ?

Sounds like your most memorable moment was owning a doo....

Nah, my most memorable moments about sledding have nothing to do with the sleds , pick your poison with them . 2 Most memorable times for me are when I took my daughters thru an area in Kakwa called the Pillows and around the loop thru Buchanan into Broadview and the couple times I’ve been out with my Grandson. I got past brand loyalty a while ago. Once Maxwell and a few others reach puberty , they’ll catch on also !

Well.........it is an idea that will produce results!

My most memorable moment is when my first daughter was born.
The next two were good also.
No matter how tough it has been at times, still the best etched memories are with my girls!
For city girls they all hunt, fish, sled, dirt bike, plant a garden, can drive a tractor and loader, camp and make a fire from scratch without gas and still be city girls if they have to.

I almost missed the birth of my second son, again out of the country but when i met my current wife she came with 2 wonderful daughters that i was blessed with as having as my daughters.
Now all 4 are living there own lives, doing their own thing. My oldest is 41 and youngest 30. When we all get together its a blast. No grandkids, ohwell.

I think my most memorable moment was when skidoo released the Factory turbo, because from that moment on, i knew, that Team Skidoo would Rule snowandmud for at least another 10 years. LOL

I was in Copenhagen Denmark on a layover going out to a rig in the North Sea. I was in a bar having a beer, looking at a tourist map when the women at the next table asked me if I was lost. I explained that I wanted to walk around and see the sights, so over a beer they helped me with the map, and one of them offered to show me the sights. Spent a nice afternoon with her, then took her and her roommate out for dinner. Then was invited back to their place for the evening. Incredibly memorable!!

That is true of many Europeans, when I was there, Europe, offers for lunches and dinner's was common. Had to refuse as it went against regulation's. The interesting thing was these people were very poor and would offer there very best they had to offer even if it seem like it was the only thing they had.

I could write a book about my daughters medical stay in the children’s hospital, but at end of it would be our trip to Disney World for her children’s wish trip. What an amazing trip we had and will forever be in our memories as a trip that will never be topped.

Also on that trip did a bucket list item. Went to my first Daytona 500 with a buddy that I hooked up with and drove to the track together with. Unfortunately it was the 2001 Daytona race and was the one Dale Earnhardt died at in turn3/4. Very solemn moment when they finally announced his death an hour later. People crying in the streets and hugging each other. Being a Ford guy I followed Dale Jarrett at the time. My buddy is all Chevy and Earnhardt was his guy. I don't think we said 20 words to each other all the way back to Orlando.

There have been many. Watching a child coming into this world has to be the tops for me, my kids and some of their kids.

Watching a big albino cow moose come up out of the Prophet River at 5 am while I was rounding up horses. Fog was just lifting and sun was just breaking through it.

Driving by a horrible accident late at night that just happened on the straight stretches by Mayerthorpe. Carload of new grads pulled out in front of a semi that was at highway speed and by the time the truck got stopped the car was a mangled mess under the trailers tires. Cars windows were red.
