So back on topic.....

On the 15th I took a sizeable decrease in pay, I still owe $64,000.00 on my 2018 High Country 1500 6.2L
Pay decrease is my truck payments + a little more. I spoke to my Advisor at RBC about just giving the truck back, as I now can not make payments on it. She advised me not to do that and within a day, I don't make any payments for 6 months.
If nothing changes in 6 months, RBC will cross that bridge when we get there. If a miracle cure comes about and all is good again.....
The accumulated interest for the 6 months will need to be paid back and regular payments resume as normal

I know it's going to be difficult to sell a low mileage high priced truck, but I think I'm going to list it on Kijiji
Wow I didn't know half tons were that expensive.

I can not transfer a 0% interest loan from the dealership :(

That sucks. I guess i'm not surprised, i'm sure they base them off of a lot of people not keeping the vehicle for life of loan so it's cheaper to offer them.

Just for fun, I just specced out a 2020 Ram 1500, fully loaded.

You better go talk to Cam at cold Lake Chrysler.
He always gives us the best deal.
Cough,,,,Cough......

Same owners for cold lake Ford and Dodge/Chrysler as in Bonnyville Ford and Chryler.

The only good thing is they will match pricing....

Nothing like a monopoly EH!

My stepdaughters dad & grandpa are management at Ducharmes. I know all about it. Not in the market anyway, just curious how expensive a half ton is these days.

They are even more Ram 3500s will hit around $110,000.

Funny how hard it is to wrap my head around those prices when I paid 60,000 for my house years ago.

I shetz my pants when I finally decided on my 2017 Ford diesel and had to see the bottom line.........

Definately a nice truck and I will probably have for the rest of my life, but man.....it has become rediculous to be driving new vehicles.....

I never would have thought in my lifetime that vehicles would need a mortage... lol.

Full MSRP on my High Country 1500 was 74,700.00 + tax
I didn't pay that, but ya it's a lot of money for a 1/2 ton with 420HP lol
Pretty much HP than ANY factory truck on the market

You should try a new 2021 1/2 ton with a 2.7 turbo

Pretty impressive

Same boosted engine base as the 2.5 in the bigger cars, they been good with out issues

Its impressive on paper, 450hp and 510ft/lbs of torque out of a 3.5L V6. But the problem with these motors is the torque band is very narrow, yes it pulls but you need to have your foot in it to get the rev's up.
Hard to plainly beat displacement, much broader torque band available, will pull at much lower rpms. I'm also a firm believer in displacement, but then a truck used more as a commuter with that engine would haul booty.
