Agreed, Italy half the size of Alberta 60 million people, guess what happens with this in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa will be interesting.

Europe is extremely social too, around there every evening all the people hang out at the cafe/restaurants/bars, kids playing soccer in the back alleys. Virus will not be near as bad here for sure.

one thing i have never seen posted in the statistics is the 4 worst place's hit are also the highest population density in the world when you sit down and figure out the stats you are only looking at roughly a 7% infection rate... These are places where you live on top of your neighbor and its shoulder to shoulder on the streets...

I have yet to go into a store and see bare shelves, or pandemonium. Sure some shelves are only 40% full instead of the usual 90%, but not empty. People have been calm, polite, and fine. I took a sandwich bag full of lysol wipes with me today, i pulled one out and wiped down the shopping cart handle, and a woman approached to get a cart for herself, I offered her a lysol wipe, and she thanked me three times. I saw zero aggressive shoppers, and if anything people were more polite than usual. My teller asked me if I found everything I was looking for, was chatty, thanked me for shopping at Save On Foods, and even asked if i needed help getting my groceries to my vehicle. I'm not sure where all this chaos is that I've heard about, but been in at least 7 or 8 stores since this all started 2 weeks ago, and seen nothing but human kindness. I walked through an A & W drive through yesterday, and the lady working the window was so pleasant and smiling. Heck we were camping in our sled trailer for 6 nights in a row on our sled trip, and 3 different people asked if we were fine, and needed anything. I guess not hanging out in huge cities has its advantages!

Was in a 5000 people center today in a Co Op store. Low on TP, and soaps. No hand sanitizer, wipes and cake mix if you can beleive that

Things have gotten stupid... you have towns and people taking it to the extreme and others paying attention and doing what needs to be done.. but as usual the extremists are saying shut everything down...
One thing I have not figured out across canada... why is a liquor store considered a essential service?

Try to imagine the winos and the redneck beer guzzlers joining forces when the booze runs out.

No worries here. Have enough for a few more weeks I would say and I don't do Ebay. Would use my finger before I would support someone taking advantage of other peoples misfortunes.

Been shopping for an upright freezer for past few weeks, I'm ready to pull the trigger on one now, but can't find stock, was told at several stores this past weekend was record for freezer sales.....

Youngest son works part time for an appliance store the freezers have been flying out the door; I think they are now tapped out for freezers!!

It’s pretty much skeet or bird shot everywhere....might be very few online selling anything under 7.5 shot.

Canadian tire might have some re stock this weekend or early next week
Corrosive SKS rounds mini crates out everywhere

Will CT be considered essential service?

Drove truck again today, everywhere I went people were calm, happy, and nice. Maybe the key is living away from places like Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton etc. Small town people seem pretty chillax about it all. I gave a woman at the fuel card lock the last 1/4 jug of washer fluid that wouldn't fit in my washer fluid reservoir, and then we had a nice 5 minute chat. She is a nurse and said that the hospital is actually much slower than usual, and lots of empty beds, because elective surgeries are canceled. I joked that the real rush on hospitals is going to be in December when all the babies are born, we had a good laugh.
Some people must go looking for drama, and stuff to bitch about.
