So I'm pretty sure there is some investment savvy people here, and although the market is in the shi#$er there will be some money to made when the markets turn around, even though I believe that may be longer than we would like. My portfolio has been hammered pretty good but I'm a dividend stock type of guy so as long as it keeps paying me I'm happy. What are you guys keeping an eye on? I'm looking at Enb and FTS right now for the safety side. Was buying some IPL on the dips and it was going good but getting leery now that it hasn't seemed to bottom. Anyone still doing bitcoin? Oddly enough gold doesn't seem to be rising like I thought it would in these turbulent times. Thoughts and opinions??

I talked to my bullion dealer two days ago and he said physical gold and silver demand is through the roof. Paper gold and silver on the stock market is manipulated down because everyone's jumping out of stocks right now, but that is definitely not a reflection of the physical demand. The mints can't even keep up right now to supply all the demand

yeah I like physical gold right now. and do have bitcoin as well.

probably some good deals on stocks right now but I don't want to be in that market.

hoping the cad dollar doesn't drop too much more, but I'm thinking we could have a currency crash and that wouldn't be good....

if this thing turns around I like real estate, but if we turn into.some sort of communist dictatorship with too many rent controls and no ability to evict losers, comercial might be better than residential.

right now I think commodities(what stuff is made out of) and stuff ie toilet paper and food is the safest bet.....

even though gas is dirt cheap could be shortages coming up who knows right now?

tuff time's out there.

Simple logic says pick one, anyone. There all down so chances are when things turn around it will all be back.

Here's a likely stupid question. Is it possible or worth pulling rrsp's to dump into stocks? I have no investment knowledge really but one I'm looking st is down to about 10% of normal and likely to fall more. This one is a safe bet

Pembina Pipelines, Seven Generations are the 2 I'm watching now. Nut it makes no sense they are climbing today yet WCS is under $6.

I think we are far too soon yet, there will be small blips upwards like today but the general trend seems to still be going down. I talked to one guy a week ago that was pumped that he invested $10k in pembina at $28/share, it's at $18 right now lol.

It's not worth selling anything to pull right now, you missed the sell window. That said you can own stocks with your RRSP account. SOunds like the nice lady at the bank has been taking it to you selling their internal high management fee junk.

Some of those bank managed funds and mutual funds can be junk, but if a person doesn't have any idea how to invest money smartly mutual funds are often a safer option.

I’ve got a number and when the Dow hits it it is go time. Just figuring out what percentages I want to put where. We got a ways yet to go before we see the bottom. Just my two cents.

I’ve had 4 guys tell me to buy CNQ and someone on this site mentioned it too, when I started watching it was at $13 it’s at $7 and change.

I’d like to think CNRL is big enough to ride it out.
But I’m not a stock guy ...at all. All my $$ is in real estate, tools and Corona!

With the VIX this high, and the repo market with a bottomless pit. Wow you guys are brave.
