Yeah, really no point of trying to get ahead if the government just equalizes everyone.

Only broke idiots would be for a tax like that. 6% of net worth tax a year? How would they ever expect anyone to gain wealth with such a tax? And how would you manage that? Every year spend a fortune estimating value of assets trying to figure out how much taxes they owe? You'd be giving incentive to people to stay broke or hide money.

exactly but there are a lot more broke idiots than people thriving right now. In Canada the top 10% of income earners pay 54% of the taxes. The bottom 90% only pay 46% and they still want more

Didn't he inherit it from his father? Waay easier to build on existing wealth than starting from Nothing.
very true. but he grew that wealth a lot by using debt to buy real estate. he even went bankrupt and got a bail out from the Rothchild's.
