4 post lift for shop

Anyone have one? Looking to get one for my shop. Do all my own service work so figure I deserve it with all the money I'm saving.

Bendpak seems to be the gold standard. Looking for any real world feedback.

Yep I have had one for years . Bought it used for $1780. And install was $680.00
I use it for everything. Loader truck and even put the boat on it one winter . Lol
Buy a 12000 lb IMO

It was really rusty and in a accessory shop so needed replacing .
I bought it on the spot . Lol
I just cut all the rails for the trolleys off as that was the worst rust .
Never would use them anyway .

Ross Cameron with Lift King in Calgary is good to deal with, and although the lift components are manufactured overseas i believe he owns that factory as well.

Curious why a 4 post over a 2 post? Can’t really work on the wheels on that drive on style. I’m also looking so this is good info

You wont go wrong with a Bendpak lift I have had mine a couple years love it looked a few other ones before i made my decision I have the HD 9XW its the extra tall lift so I can fit my Chevy C10 under it

From what I understand Sean the main difference is a four post is movable (which is a huge plus for me), and you don't need reinforced concrete where the two posts would be. I've read that the two posts are nicer for working on stuff for the reason you stated, but a four post is just a little more flexible

For my use Sean I like the four post. “And also the price I paid “ lol
You can just slide the ramps in or out to your needs and use bottle jacks to lift item .
Only needed 4 inches of good cement for support . I had 6 so good .
Four post is way more stable as well . IMO
Same as everything , buy what suits your needs and makes tasks as easy as possible .

Another thing is you can kind of double your floor space in your shop if you use it for storage like gotboost

I agree. I am looking into a lift as well. Definitely will go for a 2 post. Also takes up less space in the shop when not in use.

Wow three of us thinking of getting one. Any dealers on here? Snow and mud group buy!

Just put a 4 post in my Dads garage. Went together easy with two of us and the help of his mini track hoe....

This one has casters that can be put on when the lift comes down so you can roll it out of the way when needed.

Actually four of us.
But I want a two post.
Have had both a two and four post in the past, two post is better for my needs.

A 4 post is better suited to vehicle storage and can be easily moved. A 2 post needs to be anchored to the floor and I'd guess that the thickness and condition of your concrete would be pretty important.

Storage and general maintenance is ur thing then ya 4 post are great and like u said concrete conditions are a factor.

For me 2 post takes up less room and it seams 90% of what I do I’m pulling wheels off. Which you can get rolling jacks for a 4 post but they always seam to be in the way but doable.
I love my Rotary 10000 with 3stage arms frt and rear
I bought 7 used ones sold 6 which me getting mine for free.
There are deals out there on used ones. They are somewhat easy to strip down and rebuild at the right price if needed.

I have a bendpak that is rated for 30 k. It’s been a great hoist . I have lifted a loaded snapon truck before . A 35’ motor home was the longest unit I have lifted . A rolling bridge lets a person remove wheels for brake jobs or whatever

I spy a G class! Nice vehicle my friend. Dad know how to roll in class.
