Don Cherry has not changed, the generation of thinking has.
They were looking to get rid of cherry IMO. If they had a problem with what he said, they would not of aired it.

He always did feel very strongly about the veterans that died for us, he really thought it was an insult to their lives from people not wearing a poppy....WHICH IT IS. It does not get morer un Canadian than not wearing a poppy.

Can’t remember if it was someone on here or not that said coaches corner was recorded. If so, wow. That’s exactly what happened. They were looking for a reason to get rid of don.

It probably has a standard 8 second delay on a live show. Gives them time to censor it.

It was recorded, and aired three separate times. One for the Leaf game, one the Habs and again for the Ottawa game since all three games weren't synced. They chose to not only run it when they could of stopped it from ever airing but ran it three separate times.
