there are some huge pot farms in that part of cali. it's like the wild west, they call it the green triangle or something like that. if you wander onto some of those grows, you are never heard from again. but most all of them are growing those huge tree strains.

I know a few old guys that have been growing outdoor weed for decades around here, some of it is pretty good! not quite California outdoor grade, but when they make concentrates from it quality really isn't an issue. finding a potent strain that finishes before a hard frost up here is challenging to say the least. the deer really love eating it as well. I've tried a few auto flowers outside in buckets just for fun, but never had any luck with them. they finish ok, but poor yields.

I ran into a guy at a roadside fruit stand near Barriere this summer while touring on the bike, got to talking a bit and he told me he had a licensed medical grow op nearby. he was from Edmonton, he gave me some brownies and warned me to only eat half of one at a time lol.

yeah we don't really get the best weather here.

green house is a good way to go imo

greenhouse would be the only way to go up here for sure, we get an insane amount of daylight. if you can keep the critters and the frost from killing your crop, it would certainly be bountiful. there is no artificial light made today that can compare to the power of the sun.

My Honey's babies, grown with home made fertilizer [Her dad owned a compost company when he was alive], 20 gal pots, smallest one is seven feet from the top of the dirt.

She's going to make butter out of a lot of it. If she took a toke or two off a doobie, the next morning she coughs like she smoked a carton of smokes...she hasn't smoked cigs in twenty years.

I made her the cart so she can drag them around the yard chasing the sun...tall trees in the back yard. I've watered them a few times...I guess I did help, lol.

holy crap, that's a tree trunk! decorate that one for Christmas lol

I know exactly what your wife is talking about. it's only been 5 years off cigarettes for me and I can't smoke anything anymore. if I get enough drinks in me I always make the same mistake "ah one puff can't hurt...gimme that thing..." then I pay for it the next day. it's like my lungs are hyper sensitive to smoke now, even campfire smoke will make me seize up the next day. how TF did I smoke for 34 years and not feel that before? ugh

After 8 days of trimming 3 1/4 plants, buddy shows up last night with a power trimmer he rented....the last 3/4 of the Purple Kush took an hour a 15 min....1/2 a box of buds, they look like brussel sprouts.

Could have used this thing a week ago.

I did some reading and those guys claim to be organic but still use pesticides that are banned in several states but legal in CA. the nutrients they use are also not 100% organic, but fall under the FDA guidelines to be labeled as such. take it for what it's worth.

What Canadian producers use for pesticides is a big secret, and you know they are using them. They aren't going to risk a crop loss and infestation to insect, investors would be having none of that. And once you get bugs they are hard to get rid of completely. Google Neem oil, nasty chit that made a lot of people sick. People that claim dispensary weed is safe and clean are just repeating what they have been told, nobody knows what goes into it but everyone can agree that it's ****ty weed and WAY overpriced keeping the black market very profitable.

Everyone that smokes should grow grow their own, besides having all the bud you can smoke it's a VERY fun hobby.

I just cut down some Big Bud, the top colas were 6-8" around and at least 2' long, GIANT footballs with huge secondary buds.

I can't seem to post a pic but Google Big Bud weed and go through the pics.

Before this crop I had some OG Kush, Critical Kush and White Widow hybrid that was a 6 week flower. Run dual flower rooms with a flipbox and you could be harvesting every 3 weeks.

Youtube Remo Nutrients and look at some of his MONSTER plants.

I switched from Advanced Nutrients and their endless line of incredibly expensive additives line of products for Remo and his 7 product line that are substantially less then Advanced and every bit as good. He used to work for Advanced and there's is a lot of speculation that Remo is re blended and repackaged Advanced for 1/10'th the cost. I highly recommend giving it a shot. The stores sell small starter kits for dirt cheap.

So the misses started over again.
I made her two smaller carts instead of one, got to heavy... for chasing the sun [after 10 days it's finally raining today].
She went from twenty gallon pots to 30 gallon...last years were root bound pretty good.
