The benefit we all get from having a war with them over there is that the war STAYS over there. Showing those savages that we’re not afraid to go halfway around the world to stomp them into a paste makes them afraid to start anything major over here. Don’t kid yourself, they hate us, our way of life, our society and religions. Given the chance here, they would enact sharia law, subjugate our wives and daughters, and execute anyone that stood in their way.
They're firmly planted in the Middle Ages, are happy to live that way and want to destroy and kill everyone that disagrees with their religion.
As for Israel, the best way for the arabs to deal with them is to leave them alone. The Israelis don’t start the fights, they just finish them after the arabs stupidly try to threaten and destroy Israel. Their problems are our problems.
Wars should always be away games. A home game is not good. Dan I think what you are missing with Cdnfireman's point is none of us want them over here. He isn't approving them immigrating. Its the left leaning losers in our govt right now that are looking for a larger voting base to reelect them. The number one point to consider here is do you want someone in the middle east who absolutely hates your guts having a nuclear warhead capable of reaching Alberta? I hope not whether you think they will point one here or not.

Not sure I like Trump bombing the crap out of Iran.... Trudeau would just love to have a few hundred thousand more refugees come to Canada.

The problem is they are working on getting something to get over the pond to us. We just need to let that not gain any traction. Burka's on a beach is no good for anyone. HaHa!

I agree it’s not a war that can be won. No war in the Middle East can be won in my opinion. What can happen however is Iran can be bombed into the stone ages by a far superior force. When Saddam invaded Kuwait and mocked the Americans he made the statement that the US couldn’t match his powerful ground forces and Revolutionary Guard. After 2 weeks of the Gulf War commencing his army went from the 4th largest mechanized army in the world to the 27th. The US airforce pounded them into submission and Saddams famed elite Guard was crawling out of their holes surrendering to US forces enmasse. These 3rd world dictators are so out of touch when it comes to where they stand in the food chain.

Ken no denying that US air power is number one by a landslide. Unfortunately, the last few ‘Conflicts” (war’s) it hasn’t work out to well. USAF bombed the crap out of Vietnam. Check the statistic they are staggering. They got their azz handed to them on a platter by the cong. Plus the USMC lost over 50,000 men

The success of the bombing campaign in Iraq by any measure is debateable. Maybe in ten or twenty years we may know if it helped. I sure hope so. Judging by the US state departments advise to travellers its looking pretty shaky right now.

Insofar as Iran is concerned Genghis Khan the greatest war lord that ever lived, advised his grandson Kublai Khan to leave them (the Persians/Iran) alone “they are unconquerable”. This is a lesson Saddam Hussein relearned when he invaded Iran in the early eighties. He sent a few hundred thousand of his elite guard to the big Camel riding paradise in the sky back then to.

I hope Trump reads a little history before he goes into Iran. Iran will make Vietnam and Iraq look like a Kindergarten Picknick.

Saudi Arabia has state sponsored murders and they are scared to fight anyone, particularly Iran. That would be the only country in the region that might response to air power. To bad the Prince and Trump are buddies.

If Killery Clinton or the war lord (Obama) were at the helm, bombs would be dropping as we speak. Some say Trump is weak for not starting a war with north korea and then Iran. Trump claims he inherited this mess from Obama, the religion of peace....ya right.

Trump inherited North Korea from Obama. Obama even said so. And Obama inherited from Bush and Bush from Clinton. No US President of late has wanted to touch the North Korea issue until Trump. Say what you want about him at least he has had meetings and the missile rhetoric has slowed down a lot.

You make some good points Keith. I think the problem in Vietnam was more the US didn't give their guys a chance to win that war plus the Viet Cong fought a smart war. Turn it into jungle warfare on your home turf and dig a chit load of tunnels and booby traps. America is full of brand new technology that lets them see in the dark now and special forces that have changed their training to fight better in urban areas and in forested areas. Times have changed for countries like the US, China and Russia. Not as much for the middle east with maybe the exception of Saudi Arabia. Their outdated tanks and planes are no match for todays sophisticated weaponry.

Iran’s parliament chanted death to America. Trumps fingers itches more and more closer to that red button

I hope it's not "Death to America"!

The media sure have the shorts in a knot over trump calling Iran a bunch of liars and calling out Obama for sending 1.2 billion in cash to Iran.

The scariest unknown is how crazy and desperate the mullahs will get when the sanctions really ratchet down and start affecting their nest eggs in Switzerland. The trick is gonna be giving them a face saving way to disappear without destroying their country.
