My 9 year old son took his Rival nemesis apart today to scope out what we need to upgrade wiring and high output battery ! Off to Kohen in the morning!

Now I just feel terrible about my garage situation (it’s a disaster at the moment).

Nice car by the way.

It's not a garage if it's not a little bit messy! Even when I clean mine up it's still dirtier then the one's posted :( Too much work chit.

It gets worse. Concrete fence I built for my place. Made the mistake of telling my wife to draw a design for the back gate and I will build it.

What kind of welder do u have? Did you have plate lazered/water jetted out for gate?

I did the pattern old school. Made pin points on a concrete floor. Used a string to make my arches. Placed the plate over my pattern on the floor then traced the pattern onto the plate. Cut the plate by hand with a plasma cutter. Used a mig welder.

Decided I needed to get the shelving up off the floor so I have more floor space. Decided on some suspended shelves to put my store bought units on. I have a 3rd like the 2 in the pic but didn't want to put it in front of the window and obstruct natural light. I've had them right loaded up now for a few weeks and they're working well, a bit of a pain to need a ladder for reaching stuff but I don't mind too much. I wound up putting up another this weekend in front of the car as well just higher up.

Phuck it, I think im going to hang my M1100T from the ceiling too. Why have it take up precious floor space when it can dangle from the roof. I think I already have a plan.

Just need to keep in mind your trusses are not engineered to hold up your sled. You would need to reinforce your trusses when you add extra weight. Just something to keep in mind.

I thought of doing that as well then I got thinking how weak trusses really are from underneath they are designed to take load from the top.

My garage is currently disgraceful. Sold race car and and as soon as I turned around the space it vacated somehow got filled with bikes, strollers and wagons.

Shouldn’t be too risky for a 2 stroke. Not sure I’d do the 4 stroke.

Trusses are designed to handle the heavy snow load. Sled should be on the ground when the snows flying. But you would need to spread the load over many trusses.

Im no engineer or framer but my guess is the load is very different hanging from the bottom rather than a pushing from top..?

I think you guys are probably right, but the way I see it and remember it, how many times do you recall hanging off the raftters of the the garage with friends growing up? We used to do a t lots. The sleds is 600 ish pounds, I'm planning to weld up a "T" that it'll sit on, with loops on each end. 2 at the top and the 3rd at the bottom of it. I'm going to use 3 sets of rope blocks to lift it. One set of blocks to a separate rafter. Attach all 3 to a boat winch so it lifts evenly, I'll bolt to the wall. Done deal.

Screw three 2x10’s together about 8 ft long and span them over a few rafters . Good to go .
I pick the back of a 3/4 ton or one ton pick up with mine on electric hoist.
Builder told me 2-3000 lbs wasn’t a problem.
Vaulted roof so that might make a difference .
