I think I will try this on my Alpha. Going to make it a 154 tunnel. Easy on a cat with no cooler to cut.

Pretty sure this is well known and has been done for awhile now. I have always wanted the lynx boondocker RS but for 30k CND plus shipping plus they don't want to sell me one problem. They actually do it better because they re-engineered the tail flap for the shorter tunnel... sweet rear skid too PPS, hmmmm..

Yeah I know people that buy a 146 freeride and then put a 154 track on it. Seems like an extra cost to me with not a lot of Benefit , but on the cats it's easy and cheep to do.

Since Lynx has been doing this for a couple years Maxwell will start claiming it's another BRP innovation and Polaris should feel shame over it.

I'm stretching my Proclimb out from 153 to 162 and leaving the tunnel as is. Might remove the flap, we'll see.

In them hills.
That's his theory. He also says he prefers a 2.6" over a 3" track because it gets up on the snow better, rather than digging in and lifting the front end up.
That's only true on a Polaris.
That 3" is a pig.

So lets say you're running a longer track on your sled than what it came with stock!! If the tunnel has any sort of boxed in tail piece, what do you think is gonna happen when you compress the suspension and your 3" paddle track grabs that metal flap at the back! Everything is gonna stop turning immediately and would think you're probably gonna hurt yourself, but if you wanna cut your tunnel so your sled flips over backwards then be my guest

How do you lift the back end up when you get stuck. You would be standing on the track to get at the back bumper. Also I would be scared of getting sucked into the tunnel if you ever went over the back end.

watched the video and realized it’s not as short as I pictured.
