my daughter goes to Mount Royal University in Calgary and I asked her just the other day what is the mood on upcoming elections in AB. She told me they talk a lot about it and most voting for NDP. She says it gets aggressive when she voices her opinion against NDP. So, better hope urban areas get out in droves to vote as the younger generation/city dwellers appear to have different ideas.

Lots of that mentality out there and they will be the ones that vote. I would not be getting to complacent on it being a shoe in, voters gotta vote. Hopefully we see the largest turn out ever.

The problem will be in urban/city areas.
I don't think rural Alberta will be turning orange anytime soon.

i don’t know, I have talked to some I never figured would vote Ndp but they plan to, rural and oilfield. They don’t trust Kenny.

There seems to be a bubble around Edmonton where something in the water makes people consider the NDP. As you move away this affliction disappears and normality returns. What will be interesting to watch is how the media tries to apply their anti-conservative bias in a province that is now rabidly anti NDP.

the large govt employee population and university employees living in edmonton sway certain areas for sure

He's in cahoots with fancy sock boy. It's all part of the plan.
Well, I read the opposite....I am sure there are many points of view over what Bernier is doing.......I believe my statement more......

Maybe Bernier may be liked or respected more than "smiling" Andrew Scheer.....but Scheer's PC's are nationwide and in place....established......

Bernier's timing is poor and he will not have proper, established, representation in place before the election......meaning he cannot form a government.....all he is doing is stealing votes and most of those votes will be right wing votes....PC party

recent polls show the UCP decimating the NDP. but let's not get complacent and decide not to bother to go out and vote because of the polls...look what happened in the US, everybody figured Killary would walk away with the election and voter turnout was low.

the last provincial election had a record turnout at something like 58%. but that vote splitting killed our province. Stephen Mandel should have waited until after the election to get on his Alberta Party horse. their numbers are low, but why chance another split?
