Something about the lyrics were acceptable back then but not now, u take pretty much anytbing from back then and compare it to now and you will find something wrong with it or some flake that takes offence to it. I take offence to sock boy saying that construction workers are bassically scum but thats just me

A lot of us took offence to that statement. Apparently, nobody with any clout or balls felt it was worthy of comment as it has pretty much gone untouched by the media.

We need some balls, lady balls in politics but a smart person who will stand up for our country and not get caught up in the chilidish games politics is now and turn it around but it always takes longer to rebuild then to destroy

This enitre stupid movement has started because some of the select newer generations have thin skin. And select males have absolutely no gonads anymore. Started since the children were small with them running the households people are too afraid to discipline there children. Then into our school system, children get away with everything and just get pushed trough no matter what. What happened to the strap, our teacher used to smack our desk with a yard stick and scare the crap out us. Then once they go past the education system now there softies and programmed with some of this garbage. This is only a select few but this all starts from there. My :twocents:

All my five year old want to do is get a jersey, a number, and play a real hockey game. He Has sitting in a rink for years watching his older brother. Just wants his turn to have fun.

He’s been skating through the same drills for 3 plus months, re picked picked their jersey numbers 3 times, but have never put the jerseys on or played a single game yet. When it does happen it will be half ice and there will be 1/2 a team doing snow angles on the ice while the 1/2 that actually want to play have to wait and watch the kids that don’t even want to be there. But they won’t separate them into 2 groups. One big team of 36 kids. Only 20 ever show up at any practice. But the same 12 that care are there every time, these 12 are so bored!

These poor kids won’t be able to just play hockey game for 3 more years after this year!

They also will not call it a tournament anymore. It is now called a jamboree.

The problem is, people have no critical thinking. Someone reads the lyrics and interprets it in todays way of thinking, or what they want it to say. They than make a blog post or something other breaking down the lyrics and putting their twist into it.
You than have a bit of a movement like the #metoo, so they need a song to bitch about to push the movement forward. The problem with all of this is that the people that follow this **** don't think critically, they just follow like sheep and not educate themselves on the issues. They also don't realize that by doing **** like this we are getting a tiny bit closer to China, Saudia Arabia and other oppressive societies. Were they block their citizens from listening, watching. looking up things on the internet, and what religion to choose from. But this is not the first time for censor ship and will not be the last. How fast we forget about Howard Stern, Larry Flint, Video games, Marilyn Manson, so on and so on.

thats too bad. My grandson who is also 5 is in hockey and every Sat they play a game (1/2 ice) and they have a hoot. We even went to an out of town tournament in Revi last weekend. They leave the practicing during the week days.

It’s not a Tournament!!!! We are now suppose to say Jamboree! Lol

Yep. Kids just wanna have fun. That’s how things use to be, but full ice, for my older boy (now 8).

Apparently Hockey Canada put out a dictatorship of rules that everyone now has to follow. Turned our small community league into a disorganized mess. Say it’s for the kids development. Say Toronto and Vancouver have been doing it for years and it’s great....

Reality is they collect twice as many registration fees for the same hour ice slot.
