I’d like to see a map of this area and details if anyone finds it.

Just go through the link and you will find it. It looks like it is west of the town of Coleman to the eastern edge of Crowsnest lake. Atlas staging area may be affected.

This is ridiculous. Saw this coming tho with the new trail restrictions in mcgilvary and the fancy new chitters that went up at atlas this summer.

Eventually good people will have to be outlaws to enjoy their hobbies.

Using Alberta Tax Payers money, to fund private conservation easements. This all about the money, the "environment" is the excuse. Shannon has already handed over 9 Millions dollars to SALTS (Southern Alberta Land Trusts) - and they will be receiving even more with this push. Make it a Park, then the rest surrounding becomes available for easement. A funded land grab, with taxpayer money. Remember Castle? Two weeks after announcement - Salts received around 2.5 million for easements around it. All these guys are in on the deal, and why they are supporting it. NCC (National Conservatory Canada), CPAWS, Mistakiis Institute, PembinaInstitute, Y2Y (Yellowstone to Yukon) and all their partner groups (AlbertaPreserves, LoveyourHeadwaters, Alberta Back Country Hunters and Anglers),Alberta Conservation Society, MEC (Mountian Equipment Co-op), Oldman Watershed,Alberts Wilderness Association, to name jut a few...

Here's some more pics, and their upcoming plans.

So the new strategy for implementing foreign funded Y2Y/CPAWS objectives is to "name" their objectives after past Conservative leaders?
I guess now if you oppose these foreign agendas your against both the environment and your own conservative party?
Really good strategy on the their end.

What's next, the Ralph Klein Bighorn Park?

Problem is that once these land grabs on behalf of the Y2Y/CPAWS take effect no one is going to rescind them. I've reached out to the UCP on this and get nothing but silence as to what their stance is on this. I don't believe Kenney has ever set foot out in the foothills. Brian Jean at least said he would reverse it but he's no longer on the scene. I'll keep on hounding our UCP candidate once it is determined who it will be in our riding.
