Apparently, the first violation was in Winnipeg. A $672 ticket for using pot in a vehicle.

If anything decriminalized it would have the right thing to do, so that's why the government didn't do that.All users are worse off, and this whole thing annoys me. You can order pot in the mail for years already,tax free and no weird dealers and 100 different kinds.Now everyone is screwed with government involvement.

Sheer already said trying to change it back is off the table, the genie is out of the bottle and it ain't going back in.
At $8-15 retail a gram the black market isn't going anywhere. And if the rumoured shortage happens expect a price increase, further driving up prices legally and on the black market. They didn't snuff out the black market, they might make it even more profitable.

How about we start teaching our kids better and not expect our retarded government to write policies to account for stupidity! We need a smaller & smarter government imho. (just my 2 cents)

I now read that the BC government of the NDP/Greens are once again passing the buck. They are blaming the fact of only one store 400+km north of Vancouver on the jurisdiction of local governments. The BC government says the municipal governments are too busy working on the local elections. What a bunch of crap.
