Tire chains ?

Don't cheap out. Buy from a tire shop or google a place that generally stocks good chains. I suggest V-bar style. You don't need semi-tractor quality, but I would rather spend $180 vs $100 and have a good set that is going to get you out.

You could check out Northern Metalic too. I know that is where we have bought some chains for at work. I don't know what kind of quality though.

Another for Kal Tire. But we also buy our tires and rims from there. They treat us well.
Wherever you buy your tires might be a good place to start. V-bar are definitely the way to go.

I have a v-bar set from Continental in Edmonton.
Style not as big a deal to me as is ease of installation and tight fit.
The camlock system does not allow any movement once on.
Sucks the chains right into tread rubber.
Fast n easy and super tight.

Always used Trygg with cams. I also added more cross chains for more grip and smoother ride.

Your rims should be okay provided you keep the chains tight. How often/far do you intend to use them? The tryggs are great chains but are quite a bit more money. If you’re not gonna use them very often I’d just go with regular v-bars. Canadianchains is a good online source and they used to ship for free. Make sure you get cams on the rails to tighten the chains, and I always replace the inside boomer with an open chain connector to make it easier to install the chains. I’d get the rubber “spiders” too.

That is the trick is buying the right chains for the tire/rim combo.
I have 20" times and the chain size does not match the tire size because of the tire's low profile.
Never had a problem with the rims touching the chains.
However I did rip my mudflaps off.
Had to install kickbacks.
