We pay a premium carbon tax that is supposed to be used to help become more green. My question is that if the government allows forest fires to get out of control and release carbon into the air do we get reimbursed?

Dont accuse the government of loosing control of fires. If a reimbursement was in order I’m sure as of may through oct they will force us to not leave our homes and say it’s for our safety.
HA! government give us money back.

They are only concerned with man made carbon pollution.

The natural occurence of CO2 doesn't concern them.

Government can't even pay licensees for their burnt plantations from 2017 never mind a cheque to the average joe.

Just came through Kootenay pass last night and the summer fire is still smoldering and belching smoke. It would be easy to put out now and reduce the emissions but obviously it is not a concern for anyone. I heard a forest fires put out like 30 years of pollution equivalent to all combustion engines combined.
