Renting a condo

Looking at going down to the states next year and i was thinking of renting a condo. Is there anything i should be aware of being my first time?

Try to get a 6month lease or even better go month to month.

Then if you dont like it you can bounce.

6 month or year lease will give you better rates
Pets
Who pays condo fee’s
Deposit up front
Water,sewer ,garbage, power, gas included
Is condo in a large unit or individual like duplex style
Parking included and how many stalls
move out costs

That's why month to month is the best,, even if it costs more. Imo

Also its worth a bit extra to go for a fully furnished place.

Saves you a lot of hassle

Also proper paperwork on inspection on moving in and moving out. Protects both sides.

We use landlord tenant act paperwork.
We get it from Service Alberta.

We prefer yearly lease as it’s less paperwork for me.

Lease is better for the landlord forsure. Hell get a 5 year lease if you can.

Look into VRBO or Home Away

Can find great deals.

Used it and few times. And we are using them again in September for vacation.

Works great.
