Maybe Justin is working for a group other than the Canadian people? Maybe he is trying to raise his stock with these people and really doesn't give 2 chits about the commoners?
Ya think?

Pretty sure him and nutley and whoregan all have guaranteed retirement plans on tropical islands if no pipelines are built.

So this is interesting, will Justin Trudeau be putting a plane load of people to apologize to Saudi arabia . Dance with the Devils, something Trudeau likes to do.

Any opinions on how NAFTA negotiations are really going? According to Chrystia Freeland everything is fine, no need to be concerned that Canada has been frozen out of the discussions and when US and Mexico work out their issues Canada will be invited back. But there are snippets of news indicating Trump basically said F Canada and is proceeding with US-Mexico discussions only.

I was talking to a friend of mine who works with foreign affairs and he said Canada’s strategy is not to rush things whereas Mexico is in a different situation than Canada. Only time will tell.

Trump claims he is deliberately sidelining the talks with canada. Clark had asked Trudeau to get on with the softwood talks years ago, but know one tells Trudeau what to do. I find it amazing how the 300% duty on bombardier disappeared, lord know they should have been there with all the bailout money they received. Maybe Trump knows where to throw the bone.

Trump doesn't know sh*t except how to be a bully.

You would be referring to PE Trudeau since the dispute started in 1982.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada–United_States_softwood_lumber_dispute

I assume by Bombardier you are referring to the CS Series aircraft which Boeing claimed affected them even though they did not build a plane in that class so it did not compete against anything they built. They (the American interests) just wanted to F up Bombardier as they were almost becoming a competent competitor in aircraft building so threw on a 300% surcharge on the aircraft. The solution was to transfer the rights to the aircraft to Airbus who the US is not (currently) pushing around. Not too difficult to figure out why the surcharge went away. As to Bombardier, there is no aircraft company in the world who does not get huge handouts, loan guarantees and/or huge government overpriced contracts. You might as well complain about forest fires because this is the nature of the "free economy."

I was refering to Christy Clark and Justin Trudeau. Not sure how this turned into a forest fire ...softwood agreement talks... that never happened on the federal level. It cannot be negotiated provincially. This was before nafta and Trump. But is a part of the Nafta agreement.

Didn't they basically give the c series to Boeing along with the latest crisp billion we donated to bombardier?

Or was it Airbus......

Freeland vs Trump, like Mickey Mouse vs Hulk Hogan, good luck Canada. Funny these governments slapping tariffs on everything, tariff revenue rolls into general government revenue. Win win for Trump and Freeland. New form of tax is all it is.

being in the trading business I have to say I agree with their stand 100% on the deal breakers preventing us from moving forward with a deal. As a member of DRC we MUST have that in the NAFTA agreement otherwise we are not going to have any tools for trade disputes going forward with individual companies. Mexico has agreed to some trade regulations today but they too are not 100% on board until the Trump negotiators remove that from the table including the sunset clause. Anyway, like I said above only time will tell how this will end up.
