Hello 2 friends and i bought a new to us used sled trailer. It is insulated and heated, but the under carriage is not insulated, and the floor inside is just plywood. Would like to insulated under floor and do something with floor inside. Thanks for all suggestion ahead of time
p.s. Also it has an under belly propane tank, how do people fill those, besides going to a gas stn.

I had a couple quotes to to the whole interior and the bottom of a 22’ plus v for under 2 g.

1100 seems high for just the floor.

I didn't shop around, could be cheaper options for sure. J&G has a reputation for good work and spraying it on thick so I'll probably just go with them.

Only an inch fits in the walls and 1 1/2 in the roof so anything on the floor is gonna be good. They can only spray so thin. Tonne of the work was over spray the walls and roof them shave it all flush with the framing.

Mine got done on a trade deal elsewhere. Got quotes for value check.

Quick question for the group...
after someone has had the floor done, do you do any type of tin or something to cover it up, or just leave he spray foam exposed..?? I’d be concerned that over time, the foam would be eroded, but on the other hand, would covering it up cause other unforeseen issues such as holding moisture??

Apparently people are just leaving the closed cell foam exposed to the road salt and grime, bothers me too but you don't read many complaints of deterioration. Also I was concerned about melt water inside the trailer leaking down between the floor sheets and freezing but again nobody seems to have any issues.

Before the foam, I cut troff drains front and back and sealed all sidewall flashing to the floor for drainage.

Good call on the drains, that's kind of whats holding me up on spraying mine is figuring out what to do for drains. Do you have seams between floor sheets and if so did you seal all these? The sidewall interface is probably greater risk so good point sealing this also

It was, and is an ongoing big project. It is back together and ready for the finishing work now.

My trailer was stripped right down. Lots of the floor was opened for the drain mods. Sealed every thing on reassembly. Tested lots of different things for the sealers but think the big caulking gun tubes of plastic cement or roofing repair tar stuff worked the best. But mask up everything with masking tape while you apply so you get nice lines and don’t make a mess.
