Yes, it's true..... I talked to their parts manager of the day of the fire, with no idea it had even happened. They were all pretty somber around the dealer.

Here is the media release from Facebook.

hope everyone was insured. sounds like they are invoking the "leave at your own risk" thing...buddy's insurance says they will pay him, and go after CW for the money.

unfortunately, that is the case with most dealers T..... when you sign the paperwork authorizing them to have the work it's a "leave at your own risk"

I'm sure it's going to cost the CW corporation LOTS of money in the near future.

I have had this conversation with many people over the years. If you buy something and sign a bill of sale, you should be insuring it ASAP. It does not matter who's building it is in or whether you taking it home today or in 6 months.....once you sign a bill of sale, it's you responsibility to insure it. There may be a case here where you can go after the dealer......but maybe not.....

buddy's insurance rep said it doesn't matter what they make you agree to in terms of the leave at your own risk thing, the company will pursue reimbursement and recover any costs. but if you don't have insurance, with no one ($) to fight for you, you're pooched.

Well, on a newer machine it's a no brainer (to me) to have full coverage. That said, there's people out there that don't put collision or comprehensive on anything they own.

It’s crazy how many don’t! I put it on first thing when I buy anything. I buy it to keep hassle down to. If I get pulled over I got it don’t need to worry. Or if something like this happens you don’t need to worry as much. Or you get in an accident and get sued it would be real nice to have insurance!

Yeah don't understand, why people don't have coverage full coverage for my new wildcat was $220 not bad for peace of mind, and if I get hurt they cover pay for 2 years up to $1600 a mouth.

The only thing I can’t grasp about insurance is why you can’t have the liability end of it on you, since you can’t fuse more than 1 thing at a time, then put the rest of the coverage per unit. Between life, medical, travel, rv, sleds, dirtbikes, street bikes, home and auto, I’m over 10k/year. It a lot of just in case money...

Yup that's a lot.
My yearly insurance tab all in from toys to house is about 4700 and I get old guy rebates and am at cheapest rate possible

Some days all 5 sleds on the go when missus and kids all riding.

Hopefully nobody looses out because CW had a fire.

If I am making payments on something it has full coverage , besides my insurance company won't let me otherwise.
