I have said it in other threads and I will say it again here. You guys are wasting your time. You have to understand what motivates Horgan. It isnt protectionism, it isnt NDP bs, it isnt his desire to protect the environment, it is simply him wanting to keep his job.

He signed an agreement with the greenies to be able to become the premiere of the province. One of the conditions of the agreement was his opposition to the pipeline. In reality his only choice is be against the pipeline or get ready for another election. The NDP CAN NOT AFFORD another election, their party bank account is pretty much bare. To many of his mp's are not financially strong. They cant afford another election. He will not change his opposition to Kinder Morgan no matter what the general population of BC does. We can whine, complain, picket and attack our local MP's and nothing will happen.

The only way the Kinder Morgan pipeline can go through is if Trudeau grows a pair of balls and pushes it through. Your wasting your time boycotting BC, get off your asses and start going after your federal MP's. Make the noise there, pressure them, do what you can do. Boycotting BC is a waste of time. If it make you feel better then go for it, but if you think your going to force a change by not taking your fishing trip this year your living in a dream land.

Kind of a interesting situation, specially for ne bc .we compete and work with Alberta companies all the time.dont see or hear much from the south coast of bc unless they want some more tax money . Not much in common with those folks politicaly ,economic direction is totally different. Ironic that site c got approved by the ndp /green ,most of the power will be going to Vancouver, wonder if it would have been approved if it was on the Fraser ? Getting pretty tired of driving on shtty roads ,not enough money for school buses ,not enough doctors etc ,while mr Horgan is planning 3new bridges in Vancouver and lrt in the Fraser valley on our dime . They have no concept of what pays the bills ,and it is not just the government,it is part of the culture

The bright side of boycotting is if enough Albertans stay home maybe we can actually get into our campgrounds. ( and GO )
And all those tourism $$$$$ 's won't be missed at all! I agree the roads will be far less traffic, and campsites will be more readily available.

I only got out sledding to BC once this season, tied up with work or I would have went more. riding to Alaska via the Cassiar in June, not going to cancel because of some political bullsh!t...life is too short to get pressured up over things I have no control over.

Unfortunately, Pipes, we (Albertan's) can't vote in BC so its tough to make that statement at voting time. The only way that me as an Albertan can fight this is to not support BC products.
I realize that the actions that BC is taking is not supported by a great number of BC residents but yet I don't see a lot of them speaking up against their Premier. And now they are looking into a pipeline to the coast to supply their airport with foreign fuel???? WTF??? This has to stop. The residents of BC who are against the actions of their Premier need to start taking action.......speak up ....be heard!

I have always tried to support those who support me/us.........
I'm in the Ag industry and I always try and choose Alberta made/supplied food products....Alberta Beef, Alberta Pork, etc because its those farmers who help me make a living.

So, until this Bull**** in BC is settled, I am consciously choosing to support "other" products/destinations if there is a choice. If I am buying a bottle of wine, it probably won't be BC wine. If I am looking at travelling, for now, BC will probably not be my choice of a destination....although I love going to BC.

We are too busy working to protest. Most of BC knows that what is decided in the lower wasteland becomes the norm. Once some adults get elected this line will be built

We have a wedding in Kelowna so will be going into BC but will drive straight there. From there we will head straight over into the Kootenays, down to Creston and then likely just head into Idaho. Will shorten our time in BC by about 10 days. I will bring a slip tank so shouldn't have to bother anyone in BC for fuel along the way.

When we bunker the boat we just go into the US and get the diesel there so nothing will really change on that front. Will just make a point of going south instead of north.

So it will be a minor adjustment for us.

I live in Sparwood and camp on the kook. 1/2 of our camp is folks from Alberta. The highway is crazy busy most of the time so I would be interested to see if that changes. Camping season is almost here.

Usually camp in Christina Lake but cancelled this year. Not sledding in Fernie Corbin or Valemount either since our snow is so good too. Sorry but Bring Cash (bc) is not happening anytime soon. Lol

The bring cash argument is old and doesn't make much sense. However as a born and raised BCer I do support people's decision not to come west and fully understand. The stance our government is taking is highly embarrassing and how much pressure the uneducated few are putting on social media is ubsurd

Don't you bc locals worry. Albertans will still be crowding your terrible highways I'm sure, and I'll probably be one of them... But I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure I'm not spending a dime in your beautiful province!
