2003 Honda es fourtrax not shifting!??

Hey fellas I got a 2003 Honda es fourtrax and it’s not shifting by button or by foot shift, it’ll make that click noise but nothing comes up for gears just stays in neutral, what could it be!?? Shift motor!? Or sensors!? Or something else,

I have basically the same quad but without electric shift and the same thing happened. It was the shift fork. Should be able to access it from the front of the motor on the bottom side. Stand the quad up on the back end and pull the skid plate.
I pulled the motor out of mine and took it in and the tech said I just wasted a bunch of time. They do it with it standing on end from the bottom. Sounds pretty easy from what the tech told me but I haven’t done it myself.

I just got done wrenching on it, the shift motor turns when I press the buttons, but still no gear, it blinks 3 times which means angle sensor so I’m told, but my question is why wouldn’t the foot shift work!?? Shouldn’t that bypass the electrical!?

is it a 350?? the star in the shift drum had issues on certian years of 350's

I remember the shift drum would break where the shift star attached on some years, check with a honda dealer and see if yours in the affected years

Ya, the fork isn’t engaging the drum because it’s broken. It’s inside the engine near the front drive shaft.

Well, I got my quad fixed had broken gear and a broken shift pin, but when I get it back home from a Honda shop, it’s got missing pieces, bolts that aren’t tight, so called them today to find my missing pieces, he assured me they didn’t go in from the rear ended which I got billed 9hours for, and they’re not willing to help find my missing pieces, quad hasn’t been touched since brand new and now this, what a joke will never be back there with my buissiness
