Don’t waste your time looking into the legal end of things. If your that concerned about a helmet then buy something that fits good and will take an impact. For most of us it’s window dressing for the super cops that need a ticket rush. I’m quite happy with my little bucket when I’m on the Harley and my ball cap riding in the sxs. Could care less if they try to hand me a ticket.
The world has to many rules and I’m just going with what works for me.
yes I know what happens when your head hits hard things. I do helmet up to do silly stuff.

Ill respectfully disagree helmet always, its more comfortable and safer period. I know 2 people with brain injuries due to not wearing a helmet and 3 fatalities in side by sides, you don't get a second chance. Set an example for your children show them that PPE is a necessary fact of life.

I hear where your coming from. But where do we draw the line, perhaps four point harness and a helmet aren’t far away in our vehicals? I’ve seen lots of crashes where this would of been helpful.
setting a good example by wearing ppe is a start but I’m teaching my kids stupid hurts, learn to ride responsibility and you won’t have to dress up like a goalie or be covered in bubble rap to have a good time.
There’s a time and place for gear but our government is treating us like retards. I want to live my life by my rules. I’ll be the judge whather or not I need protection...like seat belts.

I doubt many cops will be deceived by a fake dot sticker or better yet a white out spelled dot on the back of a $30 novelty skull cap, lol.

They will be too busy with my loud Harley exhaust to worry about my helmet.

Oh boy, your just trouble! Better start a $100k study to see how noise and freedom will affect our kids minds.

I try.

I figure kids outside riding toys is better than video games inside.

That is why it is so great seeing kids on those small sleds and quads.

Outdoor family fun.

Note to self

Bring extra white paint pen

Bring extra ear plugs for the Police. Then exhaust not as loud.

FYI Driving white ave in a group with loud exhaust attracts the Police.
