The hangfire was only 1/2 second not matching the time frame of his stated hangfire.

Mistakes were made, first the gun was pointed at someone’s head, that’s the first thing I was taught not to do. Second his finger was on the trigger when he wasn’t wanting to shoot(if it wasn’t a hangfire). Another no no in my books finger only touches the trigger when you’re ready to shoot.. And third it was with a pistol... that’s all we need is for the libtards to use this as ammo to get tighter gun restrictions.

They are trying to pin him with unsafe operation of a firearm as well, stating about how he doesn’t know how many bullets and the operation of his firearm that when the mag is not present in the gun it won’t fire blah blah blah. In the heat of the moment like that i’m Sure if you asked him he wouldn’t of remembered what he was doing 5 minutes before they pulled up.

My opinion is that if they were actually looking for help, they would’ve gotten their flat fixed for free, muffler tied up plus possibly welded, and would’ve been back to the rez for supper, bannock and fried chicken.

But I can see him getting at least a couple years, if nothing comes of it there’s going to be such an outcry from the First Nations community. Not saying he’s going to be in there for years, he’ll be out in months for good behaviour. Hopefully before harvest.

Lesson learned is leave no witnesses to dispute your story.

He is probably lying, but who gives a fawk he was defending his property. If they came there with good intentions no one would have ended up dead. Got what they deserved too bad he didn't get all of them.

Hopefully he gets something really small like probation. Should not spend a day in jail for it that's for sure.

Maybe if more of these rural thieves got shot at the problems in rural Alberta and Sask would diminish?
I agree. Problem is every time a criminal gets shot by a law abiding farmer, the farmer gets charged for protecting his property. The bruderheim case where the farmer shot the guy riding away on his stolen quad comes to mind.

Just watching the news on tv listening to the Indians rant and rave. They and the news media are frothing at the mouth claiming racism, and the fact that there were no Indians on the jury. No mention of the fact that they were trespassing, armed and were in the process of attempting to steal property when they were confronted.
Hopefully politics will stay out of this but I’m not holding my breath. I can’t wait to hear what our retarded prime minister has to say about this.
gonna be interesting to see if the Indians go on the warpath over this.

His life is stil over he will be forced to sell the farm and move
Ya, You are probably right. But selling the farm and moving a lot better than being in the clink. Already the cries of racism and not fair for native have started. Funny how none of them seem to remember they were committing a criminal act that led to this.

People need to learn that just because something doesn't go ones way that doesn't make it racist so sick of the racist card he was breaking the law and endangering innocent people, the rest of the people in the vehicle should have been charged for there crimes as well. I live in north battle ford the **** that goes on here is out of control,my uncle had his truck and daughters dirt bike stolen they caught the two kids red handed in the
totalled truck and they never did get the dirt bike back they didn't even get a slap on the wrist it's a game to some they were from a surrounding Rez, uncle was out a truck and his daughters bike

Good to hear, it's about time someone called it right, people should start doing that more often, they'll pull the hate and racism card hell trudope might even hand them a giant payout, but the fact of the matter is don't touch what isn't yours and go out and work for it, case closed if that item is worth your life than go for but might not come out alive,

Would seem our PM and at least one MP do not necessarily agree with the court decision.

They were on an all day drunken crime binge ending on Mr.Stanley's farm where they tried to steal a truck and his quad, and according to his family this is racist? They single handily wore out the race card, it means nothing anymore.

This would make a great teaching moment but instead they will use it to further the "we hate everything whitey" mantra and play that tired old race card, cause it's all they know

Dig deep and let's help out the REAL victim here, Mr.Stanley

Sending his love to a family that's making excuses for his poor decisions, and crime spree yet no mention of what Mr.Stanley or his family has been trough. What a piece of work, piece of something that's for sure
