    Re: Shop Lights, Led ?

Cheaped out and went with T8 2 bulb 4 footers in my 21x25 garage with 10' ceiling. Put in 5 fixtures with daylight led bulbs. Works out to ~75 lumens/sqft and it is very adequate as some say you should aim for 100 lumens/sqft but I think any more than that you'll be wearing sunglasses. Only need work lights if I'm way into something. As Eclipse said I wish I had added some side lighting to account for having the garage door open and it covering 2 fixtures.

Anyone get any of their carbon tax dollars back out of the NDP through this program?

I have hear stories of guys getting $200/fixture back.....

    Any truth in this?
    Yea itís true.

We have been using lots of the 24000 lumen models.

It usually made the best value for fixture costs and rebate back of $200 each.

Brought the cost of the LED down to be almost equivalent to a 6 lamp T5.

But then better energy savings and more light. 6 lamp t5 is about 17000 lumens.

The paperwork for the rebate is brutal.

Mine are like that black one. Very low profile and throw a ton of light. In my poll barn I took out 4 florescent and put in a single 200w 60,000 lum. Like friggin day light in there now.

18ft roof. What are your other dimensions? I have a pretty good contact for them. Actually I think I still have some left over from a bulk sample I ordered direct from manufacturer.
I get 50miles to the gallon on this hog

Where did you find 60000 lumens rating?
