2105 ram with projectors....they just keep getting dimmer. There does not seem to be a general concensus on which way to go with upgrades. some need a canbus some don't...lots of people say none of the LED are worthwhile in a dodge product. Others say upgrade the bulb is the way to go. Who has real world experience with these. Want to do high/low and fogs.

Cheers

Depending on how much you are wanting to spend, but I personally love HID's when they are in a projector. If it was me I would upgrade your factory low beam projector to the Morimoto FXR 3.0 Give you the best light, but you will need to separate the housing to do that.

How much work to install that? Did you find yours at a local supplier?

The retrofit source is where most of my stuff comes through, I know there are a couple companies that do Dodge retrofits if a person isn't comfortable tearing into their headlights.

They also have DOT approved fogs in LED for most modern vehicles now. I sure like the ones on my chev.

This is the kit for your truck, company is good to deal with, any questions you have they will answer.

One way around that is if you can find a spare set of headlights from salvage or kijiji at a half reasonable price.

You have time work on those over the course of a weekend, or a month without losing any down time on the vehicle if it's your primary source of transportation.

Some people are content with a better bulb wether it be HID, LED or upgraded halogen and their out put. However the people (like me) that take the extra step to get the better projection lense and housing with the better light source never regret the extra time and cost. Specially if one spends a lot of time driving at night.

I will say there isn't a light bar out there that will compare to the light output out the front of my Chevy with the Bi-xenon setup I have now.

I put a set of led's in my 2014 dodge 3500 undoubtedly the best lights I have ever had, the anti flicker module is a must. I did not have projectors. With the led bulbs and a 24 inch speed demon light bar It is like daylight when you turn them on. Love driving ar night with them. Save me driving over a skunk last fall.

I bought my parts from the retrofitsource and did it myself. Have done 2 sets of retrofitted quad housing headlights. And still working on my projector housing setup slowly. If you following the directions in the link its not to bad, just take your time and dont force things when trying to separate the housing.

Thought maybe you bought them from Performance LED in Clairmont. Zach bought LEDs for his ford and likes them. Trying to see if anyone has them in their dodge projectors

Greg did find them for his projectors in his 2017 but they were almost the price of 2 sets of led's for your normal headlights.

Whats the difference between yours and his to be such a different price? Its just a different bulb,no?
They are both just the bulbs but his are for the projector headlamps where as mine are normal headlights with led bulbs. It is just a bulb but it is designed for the projector headlights.

I'm having similar issues with dim lights on my 17 duramax lights. I'm undecided if I'm going to just leave them stock and install light bar when extra light is needed. 3 sets of bulbs of a Chevy could get expensive

I have a 15 Chevy dmax and did the xenon Depot upgrade for low beam. Hid lights in the projector. Was easy and quick to do, 2x better light I’d say on low beam

I done my 06 dodge with projectors and HID from retro as well. Its a bit of a screw around taking the housings apart and such but youll love the light output. The best part about the light output is its low beams are so controlled that you get twice the light without it shining in other drivers eyes. IF you go with a light bar, you get lots of light when theres no traffic around but suffer big time when you dim your lights.

That's why I put the led bulb in my 2014. Low beam and high beam are great with the stock non projector headlights.
