That's why I put the led bulb in my 2014. Low beam and high beam are great with the stock non projector headlights.

When you pull up to a building do you still get the cutoff you had with stock bulbs. Tried LED in a non projector housing on my 09 Ram, looked great from my side, but the cutoff was non existent when I pulled up to my garage. Took them out until I can find a bulb with proper cutoff.

If bulbs are not in housing with led pointing easy and west towards the reflective housing you will get this.
Check to see as you might have bulbs a 1/4 turn out ?

Yes, the bulb need to point left/right not up/down when fastened in the housing . Many LED lights can be tuned to fit the housing correctly....allan wrench - hex

I purchased LED bulbs (low and high beam) for my 2007 GMC Sierra Classic and they are awful in the OEM headlamp housings. Beam pattern on low beam is bad (all over the place). For now I’ve put the HIR bulbs back in. Do I need to upgrade to projector housings?

Yes they were installed so I have the cutoff and they are a huge improvement over stock!

I just put a set of LEDs in my 2012 GMC non projector, in the instructions it stated that the bulb can be rotated 90 degrees if required, thought that was weird but whatever. Installed the first light and turned them on and no cutoff line so I removed the bulb loosened the tiny setscrew and turned the housing mount the 90 degrees, installed and now it has the more definite cutoff line! Something for you to check.

For the classic body style GM's find a set of Denali headlights with the projection lense, put good halogen bulbs in (hi,low, fogs) get some diodes and do the 6- hi mod ( when ypu flip on ypur hi-beams all 6 lights dtay on) and you'll have plenty of light out the front of that truck.

Can also go with some LED projection lense Fogs from theretrofitsource.com

I'll add a vote for the morimotos. I ran morimoto projectors and 55w HIDs in my 2012, and they were hands down the best headlights I've ever seen. I never felt the need to use my highs, and also never got flashed. Win win!

I tried rotating the bulbs, still couldn't get good cutoff. The LEDs in my fogs are worse, cut off about 2 feet higher than low beams when parked 25 feet from wall. I'm probably one of the few who turn fogs off when meeting a vehicle as I know they are high.
