Prior to the uniting of the right I was fully behind Wildrose and not the PC party so when they joined I wanted Brian Jean as leader. He seemed more down to earth and in touch with regular people as mentioned above. The media had a vendetta against Brian Jean though for some reason so in the long run Kenney was probably the best candidate to lead the party. Kenney is more at ease dealing with the liberal media and is doing a good job. At least he is not as arrogant as Prentice was.

One good thing about the Alberta party emerging is that they will be vote splitting with the NDP because of their "progressive" policies.
Watch the NDP crank up the innuendos and lies about the UCP now. It will be full campaign mode for them from now until the election.

I hope Fildebrand gets minimal votes with his freedom conservative party. He can't understand the fact he screwed up big time. The media is trying to pump the story about how he will be dividing the conservative vote again but I can't see it. I doubt he even wins in his riding.

On another note it's great to see 4 premiers vowing to fight the federal carbon tax. I'm sure there will be more too. Notley is so done!

Fildebrandt is wasting his time, he obviously has too many people blowing smoke up his ass. Renting out his tax payer subsidized home on air bnb seriously how can he be that stund and expect he has a chance. Not unlike the alberta party I highly doubt conservative voters will take them seriously as the ft Mac and innisfail byelections showed.

Blows my mind that a city of 80k+ residents had a voter turnout like that. Unreal! What a poor turnout.
http://results.elections.ab.ca/58.htm

Fort Chip, Anzac, Janvier & Conklin sure love Rachel and her NDP.....

Ft Chip - - 250 voted....225 voted NDP.....90%
Anzac - - - 122 voted.... 98 voted NDP.....80%
Janvier - - 132 voted....129 voted for Rachel...98%
Conklin - - 96 voted.... 83 voted NDP...87%

…..out of the 1181 persons who voted NDP, 535 votes (45%) are from these 4 constituencies

Why the love for socialism in these 4 divisions???

just see a big pucker up coming to reel in the NDP spending, wondering how bad, things are just turning to be busy again. Don’t take this as any form of support to keep what we have

no idea what will happen, they could get re-elected, this province will be in trouble, km pipeline will never get built if they do! as well as any other pipe route out of the province, electrical prices will be worse than in ontario, just not going to be good.
