Are you sure they are going to get their a$$ booted out??? My daughter is in Mount Royal University and she said she feels like a black sheep as most feel 100% comfortable with the NDP in AB. They actually have "meetings" to keep the movement going in favour of the NDP. Welcome to the new entitled world!!!!

PS one of her friends won't talk to her because my daughter crapped on her pro NDP comments.

If you look at the last elections results the only reason the NDP got in was because the conservative vote was split. If you add the wild rose and conservative numbers together the margin was large.
Universities are now a hotbed of progressive liberal thinking, so much so that they are now censoring any conservative viewpoints and actually prohibiting conservative speakers from appearing on campus. I feel sorry for your daughter. Fortunately the real world still operates on logic and sound economic and operating principles. All the snowflakes that she goes to school with will get a rude awakening their first day of work after they graduate.

The 25 and under crowd that are coming out of elementary/high schools and universities seem to be largely pro NDP.....scary but the schools have been feeding them the socialist propaganda................

I hope that demographic is not what sways the vote in the next election or we may be in for another term with Rachel.

I wonder if this is what the 60's were like. Next generation looked completely out of touch then too.

not sure that is a fair comparison.....I don't think the previous govt. or the previous-previous govt. spent money as freely as the current bunch........ we are in for a financial wreck if Rachel is not stopped.....don't think the young millennial gen totally grasps this.....all they are seeing is the great "social programs", etc

True that it is not a great comparison except to the extent that the older generation is looking at the younger generation coming up and thinking they are screwed up to some degree. All I can think to do is continue to engage them in discussion and see if they can recognize the peril of huge debt. They are the ones who will be affected the longest.

you bet the teachers have! I made a comment on another thread a while back that I caught my daughter's teacher doing just that and I called the principal and he assured me it would be taken care of (after I chewed him out lol).

Absolutely, we as parents, grandparents, etc need to start (or continue) to preach to our younger friends and relatives how we are heading for a trainwreck...and fast. The schools and universities will not relay that info.

Cliche applies: if you're not a liberal when you're 20 you're heartless; if you're a liberal when you're 50 you're an idiot.

Leftist agenda driven into kids long before university, we wouldn't have all the gsa crap or over half the bathrooms in schools being marked gender neutral for those who can't figure out what gear is between their legs.

Rebel Media
Dear ......

I couldn’t believe it when I first saw their letter: Rachel Notley’s bureaucrats at Elections Alberta are threatening to shut down The Rebel.

It sounds crazy. But you have to realize just how badly Notley and the NDP hate the fact that we’re the one media outlet they can’t control.

This isn’t the first time Notley has tried to silence The Rebel. Last year, Notley actually sent an armed sheriff to stop me from even going to the Legislature!

That blew up in her face — it was too much for even the left-wing mainstream media, who properly called her a bully. Thousands of Canadians signed our petition for free speech. Notley finally backed off.

Well, she’s got a new trick now. Here, I explain it in this video:

Notley_Is_A_Bully.png

Because we’re 100% independent at The Rebel — we survive on crowdfunding, from our loyal viewers — Notley has asked Elections Alberta to call us a political party, or a political action committee, or an elections campaign group. Anything that would let her shut us down.

Because Notley is a bully, who has never stopped trying to find a scheme to censor us.

Her tactics are obviously unconstitutional. We have freedom of the press in Alberta, and that includes the freedom to criticize Notley as much as we like. We’re not Venezuela — though some of her nuttier backbenchers obviously wish we were.

Last year, we were saved by our civil liberties lawyers — and by thousands of Canadians signing our petition, telling Notley to back off.

So far our legal fees have been modest. But I can tell Notley’s main attack will come in the new year.

Can you please help me?

1. Sign our petition

Our petition is targeted at Kevin Lee, Rachel Notley's Elections Alberta bureaucrat, who sent us the threatening letter. Tell him to back off and respect the constitutional freedom of the press for The Rebel, by clicking here. (You can also see Lee’s letter.)

2. Help us with our free speech defence fund

So far our legal bills in this fight have only been a few hundred dollars. But this is the calm before the storm. I am 100% certain that we will be in a full-blown legal battle in the new year, as Notley tries to shut down any grassroots opposition to her extremist policies. If you can help chip in, please click here.

3. Share this email

Albertans love freedom — it’s in our provincial motto, “strong and free”. Under Notley, Alberta isn’t as strong as it once was. And now she wants to make us less free. We’ve got to spread the word about Notley’s war against her critics — please forward this e-mail to your friends, and make www.NotleyIsABully.ca your Facebook status!

Thank you — if you help me keep The Rebel alive, I promise I will keep reporting the truth about the NDP.

Yours truly,

Sheila Gunn Reid

Alberta Bureau Chief

P.S. Please make sure you sign the petition here.

P.P.S. We’re going to need a good lawyer. Please click here to help us stop Notley’s unconstitutional attempt to silence us.

Rebel definitely seem to be getting further away from reality, I'm seeming to prefer Brian Lilley and Spencer Fernando more than Ezra's crap.
