Just what we need, a rant from Rick mercer.. The epitome of a no-talent CBC windbag that is only employed because of the Canadian content rules.
He’s not funny, can’t act and is now riding the homosexual train to stay employed. He should realize that (like most actors) the rest of us don’t care what they think. They’re not educated or informed on most topics and use what Little celebrity they have to spew their left wing homosexual based agendas.
Jason Kenney has run for office many times, and has been elected several times by his constituents. He represents the people of his riding and when in federal politics has represented the country. He gets airtime because he is a leader and has relevant things to say to the people, unlike Rick mercer(among others) who get airtime because misguided laws require that Canadian artists be employed even though they are grossly untalented and create nothing of value or worth watching.
If homosexuality is something that all these snowflakes consider a trait to be proud of, why are laws being created to hide it from parents etc? They say it’s to protect students, but could it possibly be to allow homosexual advocates and possibly predators a time and place to indoctrinate vulnerable kids to their way of thinking?
When a government starts creating laws to inject itself into family values and dynamics while ordering teachers to be conspirators of secrecy, we should all be worried.
You have said a bit about Jason Kenney. Can you tell me what exactly the NDP has done to you in the small amount of time they have been in office?

Where do I start?
Created an unstable investment climate in Alberta driving out investors and jobs
The carbon tax that raises the price of everything not just fuel
increased taxes
massive increases to the debt that will result in higher taxes and service cuts in the future
phasing out coal power generation that will cause huge utility price increases
all the social justice crap

long story short, in the history of Canadian politics, there has never been an instance where an NDP government hasn’t left the province it ruled in a financial mess. They incredibly can’t understand that socialism is a failed economic model. It has failed miserably in every country where it was tried, and will continue to fail in the future.
The NDP are believers in the theory of wealth redistribution, tax the rich and the business community and give the money to those unwilling or unable to contribute to society. Tax and spend.
The NDP are on their way to destroying this province. The good news is they’re gonna be out on their ass in 2019. The bad news is all of us are going to bear the cost of fixing the destruction they caused.

Not to mention the rise in minimum wage which is resulting in job losses already, and that will only increase as minimum wage goes higher. I am a small business owner and the minimum wage hike affects me drastically. It's not just the people making minimum wage, it's the people you want to hire at 3 or $4 above minimum wage. now I have to pay them more or they will just go work at McDonald's for $13.60 an hour

When minimum wage hits $15 an hour the amount of people that will get laid off is going to be ridiculous

Part of the reason why NDP governments are so economically destructive is that they’re have no business or economic savvy. Typically they have education in the arts and social sciences, and tend to lean towards socialistic viewpoints. They think they can right what they see as the inequities of the world using unsustainable government funded social and wealth redistribution programs.
They don’t realize that capital and business go where they can best generate a return on their investments. We’re seeing here in Alberta now that capital and businesses are leaving for greener pastures. The businesses that are hanging on are often liquidating equipment, machinery, trucks etc which is all moving south. The double whammy of this is that when things start to turn around, businesses have to replace that equipment before they can move forward, often with expensive new equipment because there’s no quality used stuff left.
The NDP solution to the economy is to tax and spend. They don’t understand that when the people that create jobs and economic growth leave, there’s nobody left to pay the tax.

Okay. Now this is the place where you start the name calling (homophobic, xenophobic, bigoted etc) because you can’t logically refute the argument. It’s how social justice warriors shout down and intimidate anyone that doesn’t follow their ideals.

What I did was call out your bigoted, homophobic, antiquated views on Gay, Straight Alliances. Do you honestly believe there is a need to apply logic to show that what you said makes absolutely no sense? To suggest that a GSA is a guise to allow predators access to children? You actually believe that’s a credible scenario?
P.s.
I don’t know what folks from other countries have to do with this conversation.

Well you can thank the NDP government for not following through with the Conservative plan to screw up your pension. I am willing to bet you saviour Kenney will try to change it like his predecessor Conservatives did.

I don't think I said anything about folks from other countries anywhere.....and a GSA might very well create a place that like minded students could meet where they feel comfortable. I really don’t care if a school sets up a GSA, and I really don’t care what someone’s sexual orientation is. What I have a problem with is the government mandating secrecy by not informing parents about what their children are doing in school. The government has no business mandating morals.
As for the predator thing, if you ever get the chance to hear Sheldon Kennedy speak about how he and others were systematically abused by their hockey coach, do so.
History is full of instances where people in authority have abused children. I have no doubt that most people involved in this have good intentions. However, in my opinion, deliberately creating a situation where secrecy is mandated into an arrangement like this is dangerous. All it takes is one predator. Just ask Sheldon Kennedy.

I'm not worried about my pension. All the deputy ministers, assistant ministers, cabinet secretaries etc are in the same pension plan. They’re not gonna do anything that jeopardizes their own pension. Besides, even if the politicians decided to tinker with it, it has to comply with federal pension laws and be negotiated inside all the collective agreements. And after all that, under law the changes can only be done on a go-forward basis. I’ll be long retired before any of that takes place if it ever does.
