8 foot will work just fine for the blade, a bucket you may want a 7 foot. My skid steer is about the same size and handles the blade just fine but the 8' bucket can tend to move the skid steer rather than the skid steer moving the bucket.

In them hills.
I was looking at those. Was wondering what kind of quality they are. Im guessing they arent real high end, but might be good enough for an acreage with a long driveway? Has anyone see this stuff in person.

How big of blade can a guy put on a bobcat S150. I think they are around 48hp or something like that.
If you have a big area to clear I wouldn't hesitate in going with the 10ft.

If you get alot of snow or heavy snow you can always take half a cut or half a blade width, don't need to load it right up. IMO

Starting to lean towards spending more and getting something better quality. Havent been hearing the best thing about the cheapo blades. Plus to have to take it and put feet on it seems like a PITA. Been checking around on prices. Best deal I have found so far on a new HLA is 3748 OTD in fort macleod. Can get a demo bobcat with a couple hours on it for 3164 OTD in Cranbrook. So more tax, but way less driving. Or maybe a guy should just keep shopping for a better deal on a good used one.

Found a 84" blue diamond snow bucket by spruce grove for 800. Like new. Not sure about the bucket for my long driveway though.

Youll never regret buying a quality implement. Check Conterra industries I think they sell virnig ( I have a virnig blade) which are very good quality as well. If you go HLA make sure they’re quoting you on a Skid steer blade as they also sell some lighter duty stuff for tractors.
A snow bucket/ pusher have their uses but you’re better off sticking with a blade for a long driveway.

I went to Cervus, Bobcat of Edmonton today and got a bucket for my bobcat for $875.00 plus tax and its bobcat brand. The junk and wieners was priced way higher and way lighter.

How big of bucket Ron?

Pretty long. 600 ft long by I'm guessing 10 to 12 feet wide

I dont have a bobcat but I do have a 9-6 V plow on my pickup, and after trying so many different ways to plow my driveway, about 1/4 mile long, it is by far the best. With the V plow you can pile up the snow way higher than a strait blade, clean up is a snap and with the versatility you will surprise yourself what you can do. Back blading is great, you can actually grab snow and move it, huge snowfall go into the V and plow down the middle, then overplow both ditches with the angle.

Another little trick I like with the V is when it gets slippery you can scoop up some snow in the V then raise the blade about 1 inch off the ground and apply a coat of traction show.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Just spotted this baby on kijiji and had my wife pick it up on her way home from school. Couldnt have worked out better. $2000 and looks like it has barely been used.

Have a 9'6" western v on My truck and it is the best plow I've had yet. It can be removed or connected in 2 minutes by 1 person.

I've got an S650 and have a blade and a 100" snow bucket. Like them both but for different applications. I have a half mile driveway and the blade is awesome. Have about 3 acres around my yard and shop and nothing beats that bucket for that.

Sold my skidsteer and blade so Ive been borrowing my dad's little cat skidsteer with a virnig snow blade on it. Man I miss my bobcat! Just thought I would give some feedback in case people are leaning one way or another like I was. The bobcat blades are night and day better than the cheapos. Worth every penny more.
