Hey crew...anyone got any leads on a company that will ship and maybe also do escrow services from the USA? I'm real interested in getting a car, but it's in Martins Creek, PA (waaaay out east). There's no way I'm going to drive that far with a car trailer and get it, even though that WOULD be the safest/best way of ensuring I get what I pay for. Yes I know about RIV.ca and I've imported before. The vehicle is old enough that there should be no issues. I'm looking for experiences/recommendations of a company/person that someone has used before.

I see that Ebay only uses Escrow.com....I've heard there are lots of fake escrow services out there, so I don't want to fall victim there. I guess I could get a bid on U ship for pickup/delivery. Was hoping for a simplified solution. Anyone retired/out of work/bored want to go get me a car? LOL

I haven't used them but I've heard good things about Hansens.

Hey Dave, you should just do the paper work yourself, then have a auto shipping company ship it to Storage at the Border at Sweetgrass. Then run down and bring it across yourself. Simple that way.

Well....I got 1/2 corked and got bidding on Ebay yesterday.....and bought a toy in Canada....within a 8 hr drive. Waaaaaay more car than I was looking for.....but should be fun. (and yes, I know about Ebay scams....I got owners email, and phone number....texted him when I won the bid and got a picture of yesterdays paper on the hood of the car in his garage before I sent deposit funds. The rest of the funds will be $$$ in hand, so if car is not as represented, no deal and the most I'm out is a grand and a long-ass drive)
