I'm not for the NDP but I am against trophy hunting,if your hunting for meat giver but to kill just for a picture or rug is dumb,if it gets over populated then a limited hunt is ok,we as a province make way more off viewing, besides it was mostly rich foreigners doing the killing, look what Africa went through till alot countries there stopped trophy hunting buy.making animal reserves, some species took a **** kicking till numbers were way down, the poachers take enough unfortunately, just my view you may not agree but oh well, natives and hunting them for meat is still aloud although who needs to eat a grizzly,

Loop hole looks fairly open, trophy hunting closed, meat hunting still open. Thinking the hunters will figure this one out quickly.

All animal populations need to be controlled or you have big problems. Just like these tree huggers and politicians. It's just starting BC good luck with those NDP fu.ktards.

250 extra breeding grizz every year -

That's the interesting part ^^^^^^^^

Global's legislative dude, Keith Baldry, talked about this. Of the 250 tags, there were approximately 200 hundred for locals and 50 for non-resident trophy hunters. Apparently, it is the 50 non-resident trophy hunters who are the ones who are shut out.

Fake news???? Who really knows.

I don't know if 15000 is what I would consider healthy numbers?

only 65 grizzly's in all of Banff national park. Seems pretty low.

what we need to do is bring back whaling.
Maybe a bald eagle hunt to keep numbers in check?

#nukethewhales. Lol

If you guys seen the amount of grizzly and black bears here, and the lack of deer and moose, you would understand the bears numbers are too high

I understand that grizz hunting opportunities will remain open or on LEH(draw), however, the pelt, skull and paws must be destroyed, hence the "trophy" part will end. Don't shoot the messenger

And you would understand that in nature, this takes care of itself. Lots of rain, lots of grass and berries, lots of deer and rabbits = lots of bears and cats. Drought, fires, starvation for the herbivores = no food for the predators.

Here on the minesite south of Hinton, word is, there are 18 collared grizzlies. We see them quite often. Rarely do we see any blacks.
