Looking for some advice, doing a home Reno and want to refresh the California knock down ceiling. I've had a few quotes saying that they would prefer to spray the ceiling than roll it. My concern would be the overspray, does spraying cover as good as rolling? Any opinion's out there?

I would say if your doing the walls also I would spray it. Wouldn't have near the amount of taping and plastic sheets. If it the walls are staying or are done already then role it. But I am no expert.

Right on neil. If they bid the job and dont do it to your standards...don't pay and make them do it again. State your concerns to them b4 hand, Then bud out and let them do the job, that is what you are hiring them for. If you have more than one quote and they both say it, it's probably something they all do. The airless of today has come a long ways. I would hope they would mask it still but why do you care...let me guess you are trying to find the "cheepest" person and you have told them that. Sorry to sound frustrated but I get beat up by this stuff everyday. I know people can scam you but a little job like that tell them they can have the money the minute the job is done. It shouldn't even take them a week.

Didn't mean to offend you! I just thought I I would put my 2 cents.
