It's small engine gas that's pre mixed or 4 stroke and has a shelf life of 5 years or more. Good idea for something you don't use much.

Stihl "moto-mix" is good for 2 years after the seal is broken (container opened) Good to buy if hardly using it.

Yup just discovered this stuff myself. Runs about $10 for the small can.

I can buy it here in pg for 30 dollars for 5 liters, or homehardware has true fuel pre mixed for about 7 dollars a liter or something like that. For the small amount you use in saws, weed eater, generators or other small engines, it is well worth it. Beats a 100 dollar repair bill. And your saws always start way better. No more junk fuels in my small engines. But really look into that lithium ion saw, I bet that is all you need for your use.

I wish someone I knew would buy one that I could try out. I really like the concept but from concept to actual use sometimes varies ALOT

44 reviews for this saw 4.9/5 on the top right side...read them. A small warning if you do find the Aspen fuel and you use it in a saw that has tons of crappy gas in it. It tends to clean up the carb and all the junk going through fouls up the saw for a bit. If your saw is new none of that happens...it runs perfect. The True fuel does not do that. I think Aspen is the best fuel you can get.

I have one, use if for small jobs around home as well as carrying in my sxs. It has surprising cutting ability as well as good battery life. 50 minutes of run time advertised, doesnt sound like much till you remember its only running when you press the trigger. The cutting power is very good and it always starts on the first press of the trigger, just have to remember to keep the battery charged. Benefits: quiet, no need to carry fuel, always starts (if your remember to charge) good power, very light, no vibration. Cons, gotta remember to charge batteries.
When I first got it we wanted to see how long the charge lasted. Went to a buddies fire wood pile, started cutting, I cut for a while, got bored, handed him the saw, he cut for a while, he got bored, handed the saw back to me. This happened a couple of times and we said yup, cuts good and last long enough for use.

oh, one other benefit, if your a hunter, just use cooking oil instead of chain oil and you got a great little saw for the meat.

And you can use it inside the house, way better than any reciprocating saw.

I used a lot of husqvarnas all of them worked great most where the xp models...tons of power, I still have one. They also make the lithium ion one.

Are they making cases to fit the various saw sizes yet? Or is it still one case to fits all?

Peavey also sells premix 2 stroke fuel. I run my saws on premium with stihl mix for the summer then winterize with the fancy gas. I have a 361 stihl (beast) an 024 most commonly used, and a small electric 110 poulan. All work well for there given application. Maintenance and fuel quality is key. New saws are plagued with emissions bs. I have had a few huskys over the years and always like them, found them always a bit lighter than stihl equivalent. Just easier for me with a local stihl support.
The 250 is a good saw. I have a 230 with an 18" bar (same saw with a few less CC's) with quite a bit of use on it and it runs great everytime. I picked up a 291 in the fall because I had convinced myself I needed a bigger saw for no reason whatsoever and the 230 is usually my go to

My next saw will definitely be a stihl. Cant believe how impressed I am with our other stihl lawn implements. They literally start the first pull every single time (even after winter), and just run perfect all the time. Have had good luck with my husky chainsaws, but anything else of theirs has ran like crap.
Stihl or Husky are good. I like Husky better. If you ever cut any bigger logs, get something with some power and 20 inch bar or larger.
And stay away from Poulan. Total garbage, it was pretty funny watching that POS in action though.
Took my friend over an hour to cut through this log...lol Turns one tree into an all day project.
Didn't help that the chain falls off every minute or 2. Also it stalls lots and take 50 pulls to start. Junk...
My old Husky would have sliced through that same log in seconds.
