A Canadian JF2 sniper just set a new record for a kill on the battlefield at 3450 meters! With his McMillan TAC-50 he knocked down an ISIS insurgent on the Iraqi battlefield while working with Iraqi security forces. Calculating windage, distance,temperature, rate of drop from his elevated position and even curvature of the earth his shot took just under 10 seconds to reach its target. The shot was confirmed by outside data and breaks the old record set in 2009 by a British Sniper, Craig Harrison at 2475 meters in Afghanistan. Harrison had broken the previous record which stood for a fairly long time by another Canadian, Rob Furlong whose record of 2430 meters took place during Operation Anaconda. Congrats to the JF2 sniper for a shot that may never be equaled. The snipers name has not been released as per all information blackouts on special operation personnel.
