lock everything up when random camping the crowsnest quad squad had our club opener on the weekend had a great turnout and ride and supper on sat night, only to wakeup on sun morning to have most of our jery cans with gas gone and coolers missing hit us and a wedding party across the road got a lot of booze from them and most of our gas. all this was taken right next to our rigs while we were sleeping or at the fire they even tried to enter one of the trailers when she was in it but thought it was her hubby,they were only after 2 things booze and gas as there was gen sets all over the place my gas cans were in the back of my truck out of site so they must of had flash lights and they removed them without setting off my alarm if i run my generator in the back of the truck it goes off.only hope carma hits them real hard

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Its hard to stop thefts of fuel and supplies while camping. My suggestion is to have at least one jerry can with mostly water with an inch of gas. Make sure you know which one is water. If the thieves steal your gas, you get the last laugh.

Crappy deal Papajake.

I'm glad that everyones ok as one never really knows what "could" of happened had someone come across this clowns.

Sad that we have respect for one another, yet a limited few take advantage of us in many kinds of situations. Keep your chinn up and head high as there are many of us that feel for you and the others...

There are many humans that walk with in our circle because we learned respect one another,,, there will be those that choose too too diminish our human inter- actions by "trying" too rob that as well.

Shame on them for for braking this code of human.

You can rest a-sure that their actions "will" catch up with them.

Really crappy !
We have had quads , beer , gas propane , food etc . stolen from us over the years .
i guess they needed this stuff more than we did .
Lock everything up , put beverages inside , a good dog will help too .
Sometimes I miss the earlier times .

Buddies had there's taken at atlas as well. Mine was under a tonneau, so it didn't walk, but the balls on these guys. Guy at gas station told them over 30 people reported the same thing the week before. Time to leave out some sugary gas....

When working out of town, always left a old 5 gallon gas can with a litre or two of gas and the rest full of water in the box of truck,

Careful mixing water and stuff in a jerry can. With our awesome justice system here in Canada you will pay for the thieves vehicle repair. My dad drove fuel truck for year. He had one old farmer that alway had his diesel stolen. So he got my dad to put gas in the diesel tank and diesel in the gas tank. The guy that stole the gas thinking it was diesel put it in his truck and the old farmer had to pay for his his truck repair! And my dad got in sh!t to.

Thats bull crap. Was your Dad supposed to leave a sign for thieves telling them the tanks were mis marked? Sounds like a cop with issues to me?

Thieves got more rights to your stuff then you do! Same with if someone comes and breaks into your house and hurts them self, you could be sued for having something unsafe. It's stupid!

People always wonder why so much stuff gets stolen? It's cause the cops and justice system don't do fawk all about it!
