Since I am tired of fighting with my temperamental awning from hell,I decided to try s pop up shelter ...
Tired of awning blowing in wind and destroying themselves ...!

So 170$ at Costco for a 13 x13 ', reviews soon stay tuned ....

We've got the Walmart version, 10x10 of this same thing. I think we're going on season #5 with it. It's been fantastic use it lots.

Also found a log roller & lifter for 20$ on sale at princess auto .. sure nice for lifting logs up to cut out of the gravel at the campsite !

Need that on Tuesday.

them things make great kites when the wind blows!

Well I like a 175 $ kite better than a 2500$ one ...
I have a 24' awning on my toy hauler , she is a wind catcher... big time !
And I have 4 screw anchors , we will see I soon .

Did check out some storage bags and the like in cabelas , found the same thing in CT for a fraction of the cost ...!
That hunting place knows how to charge

Buy a good one and you won't throw it in the garbage after one summer (if that piece of skinny tubing lasts the summer). Yes, they are $100 but well worth it if you cut any amount of wood!

I got a costco tent that is 10x20 and have it at my camp site. I have screwed and nailed to the ground. Works great for almost everything... food prep, cooking, cleaning, and eating in it. it even has a 4 foot wide awning on it, 4 large windows and the ends open up. Actually lots of other campers have them.

Get the bigger screw anchors. Lowes???
Have never had an awning issue when ratchet strapped to an achor on each outside cover.

The awning is tied down , but it still puts a lot of stress on the mounting points to the RV ...
Anyways I will give the pop up shelter a whirl...

Actually it is s pretty good one , regular 90$ , so quite a markdown ...
Built solid enough for cutting some camping wood , I think ..,
