I can't believe how many trucks ( among other things )are getting stolen as of late.. it's an epidemic!
It's time cops started tracking these guys down , where the hell are they all going ? Some one must know something .. it's a province wide phenomenon.
Hope they catch them , but in reality they won't even try , and if by some miracle they do 95% of the time they will not be charged , because the courts are to busy ...
If caught they should have to work it off ( real work )at @ 4 $an hour ..
That would give them a real appreciation of what it is like to work to earn something....
Getting pretty fed up with this liberal attitude of .. "well insurance will cover
it " ...
BS we all pay for these scumbags !!!

I live in Sherwood Park as well.
Saturday last weekend at 7 am my neighbor is standing in his front yard and a blue car pulls into our street.
They go down to the end and he hears voices talking and they slowly pull up the street with one guy driving and the rest of them checking car doors.
They check his truck which is parked on the street right in front of him he asks the guy what he is doing and the guy mumbles something and runs back to the car and they peel out of there.
He calls the cops and gives them the license plate #.
Police tell him he shouldn't of called 911 but some other # which my neighbor didn't know...
My neighbor asks if they want the info or not?
They took the info and said they would look into it.
My neighbor wasn't holding his breath for any kind of action any time soon.....

Cops don't do nothing. The only way they get if back if they abandon it somewhere and it gets called in. My brother in law truck got stolen (Ford F-350) and they bagged it got it stuck left it and someone seen it and called it in. Tow truck driver dug it out of the ditch and delivered it to Tod. The cops never even looked at the truck! No wonder they steal stuff they get away with it so easy!

Someone attempted to steal my truck about 25 years ago. The tow truck driver told me that 10-15 vehicles were stolen a day in Edmonton, most of which were abandoned within a few hours. Trying to catch up with these fugger's is likely just a waste of time since they are probably long gone before the cops even get notified.

Maybe if we had some actual punishment for committing crimes things would change. This liberal dumbass attitude that these people need hugs and need to be rehabilitated back into society. Sick and tired of watching the news latley and seeing guys get out after 3 years in jail for commiting murder. Lock these worthless peices of **** up and throw away the key, better yet give them the gas chamber.

Hope you get your nice truck back!

I hope you get the truck back in one piece or not at all Trent. Better to get a settlement than a thoroughly trashed truck back. The police put some effort into this but as has been pointed out, they seldom get a call during the theft. Usually long after the truck is long gone and CSI is just a TV series. Some pretty good trackers available now. Not a bad idea to look into this them.

Why would the cops bother doing anything that could help out society, when they can make a real difference and give out tickets for not wearing a helmet on an ATV? Oh the humanity, think of the children, etc. Sarcasm mode now off.

By the way, I hope you get your truck back.

Friends of ours son caught couple of guys stealing his parents motorhome . When he caught them , they had cleaned out the shop , putting stuff in the motorhome ..
Cops came arrested them , they were out the next day because the courts were to full...
Thank you JT voters , we need more jails / not fewer...
This new "ohh well" system is not working .....!

There is no tracker in it. Ford wants about two grand for that option the be installed.... Woulda Coulda shoulda..... My insurance company is trying to give me the shaft. I bought the truck off of someone about two months after they bought it brand new. So the full replacement apparently doesn't cover a "second owner". This is just a bad situation all around.

find your bill of sale, find invoices for all the aftermarket parts, and install (if applicable), and don't back down on your insurance company. Search kijiji for comparable vehicles and show them what they are selling for. Leverage your sales buddies in the industry and get them to give you realistic lot prices for it.

Stand your ground T, it's going to be a long battle.
