Yep, fn brutal, very very few reasons to pull that sh!t imo.., family death etc etc, not my style.. who leaves buddies hanging like that, damn sure they know well ahead of time, why not just say then instead of fn things up? I just don't get it, so I just won't plan with them just in. See I'm burned..

Run solo my friend.

Sometimes we set our selves up too fail relying on others.

Get up early, meet folks at staging area, ride all day fitting in, helping out, and buy them supper at the end of the day.

Finger out your accommodations, plan your fuel costs, plan your days, weeks, months, or year when you leave or return home,,, maybe if one gets it right there is no home too return too as its with you where you are.

Be wize too ones self, set things up so you rely on you and you only.

Find and meet people every day all across the Americas if you need back-up in the back-woods.

My first attempt at this was 1987 ish,,, stepped it up in 97 then by 2005 I never looked back.

Just gearing up for 2 weeks of lone wolf as I'll meet humans along the way if needed threw out BC.
Accommodations are sorted, food for 3 to 7 days with grocery store some where along the trail.

Planning too do for ones self has worked for me, not that I don't like humans, but I find it wize too not be around them too much.

Lone Wolf allows you to do your own thing, all of it.
Timing slows down so you can relax more, yet getter done when that happens.

Been at this for 30 years, the hard core Lone Wolf over the last 17 years.

Going this route allows you too take on the planet at any time, any where, and at your pace.

Once you get good at it, you'll never travel with anyone ever again.

Human contact comes by forums like this, staging areas, and towns and cities when needed.
My cabin on wheels cover ground as they are made too travel.

Lem on holidays all the time even when the idea W too K happens.
The trip, adventure, or holiday never ends as its on going all the time.

Lem at never ending adventures as it allows us to rely on our selves.

Being self supportive too ones self 25/8/366 !!! LOL, always need a few extra hours and days too be ahead of the game plan.

Relying on our selves only is a full time job, right-fully so as every thing we do is for us,,, and us only.

Many factors play out in Lone Wolf adventures, timing, ready-ness, willing-ness, practice, funds, distance, staging areas, and being willing too up-change plan if needed.

This all works as it is only one person that is concerned on what plays out. There are Pros and Con's too traveling this way, so being wize too this is a constant.

By your self limits distance, spot-tracker and sat-phone help, but this is still not the best when off grid.
Finding people in an area works for me, that way we can cover some ground. My deal too them is that I'm sober and am packing many supplies incase of something going south. I've been a Mack-Giver at this for many years.

This is alot too share, so I'll leave this category where its at for now.

An advantage is moving or following the weather pattern. This is a 50/50 crap shoot, so just go too where you want and giver, who cares if it's raining, snowing, the hwys are closed,,, just go no matter what. At least you tried. This is where Lone Wolf shines,,, pick a different direction if the hwys are closed.
This is the BC way of doing things, don't take no for an answer as it means nothing to those of us that get out there.
We are kinda like many furry critters in a way, our cave man/women instincts allow us too travel grate distances with very little too pack,,, critter, humans, rivers, fish and mountains are very resilient too what's going on, all will survive with or without nabours, its been this way for millions of years. "Long before we came here in a space ship." LOL.

Yes I team up once in a while with bros and dude-ets now and then, but Lone Wolf adventures are at the fore-front along with relaxing and camp fires in a comfy lawn chair.
All the rest is extras too give reasons for being out there.

Human life is a blip in time, too say I'll do it later does not cut it friends.
Yes too funds, but being wize too this allows more outting than one might think.

I've changed game plan of Lone Wolf a few times, and it's working awesome, personal life changes like the fellow who travelled all of Australia by Uoot car turned into truck after the war.

He had a Uoot, barrle of gas and water and set out over 4 years too see all of Australia sleeping under the stars on clear nights and under a tarp when the monsoon rains rolled in for 3 months.

Just do it he said. Rely on your self too getter done as the only let down is looking back too think I should of gone.

Yuppers, I'm off to BC some where no where as I've done many times before, I'll never own a place there as my home land is all the Americas.

Our home is big if we except this in our minds.

Lem at sharing different ways to play with in the puzzles that add value too our lives.

Ha, I'm way past those days.

Square head now.

No miss side kick prevents the many of us from getting at it. Not worth waiting for no shows when we can take on the Americas our self.

Just got back from a one year outting a few years back as buddy jumped ship part way into the program. Family thing came up for him.

Plan was 1 year, so I continued on with out a hitch, covered coast too coast 2X's across Canada and the same for the USA.

87.000 kms of glory. Take it on with or without as its good too get att'er.

Just rolled into BC for a few weeks of good times, solo as I cover some ground, or rest if I need.
Lots of time too put on miles with Quad & tracks, shot bow, fishing, and bon-fires. Ha.

Probably meet folks along the way.

Ha.

That's yak yak yak if I recall.

Lone Wolf outting for 2 weeks in BC, then 45 days in Southern Alberta for a thing folks call work.

It's just an extension of camping along the Eastern Slopes.
Quading, fishing, and looking for Black Bears.

Might need too call a friend if they decide too eat me.

:theCabin:i'm afraid any bear chewing on the lamb man would have to be desperately hungry. would likely need a big jug of meat tenderizer and lots of fluids to wash that nasty grizzled dried out gut pile down! don, you should be safe from predators, they like a better cut of meat, that may not squirm and fight back as much. lol. have a good trip. send pics. :bike:
