a bit of a last min planning but looking at taking the family (6 adults 3 children) to P.Vallarta for 10 days leaving last week in Feb. Normally we book all inclusive but I am using my aeroplan miles so looking for accommodations. Any suggestions?

Sunset Plaza hands down one of the best resorts I've stayed at in Mexico and been 20 plus times.

The food is amazing, rooms are great and you're treated well. You won't be disappointed.

Only been there once, we stayed at Paradise Villiage in Nuevo, it was pretty nice as far as some all inclusives we've stayed at. Nice beach, decent activities and amenities close by. Fish with Raul on the Black Run, he'll hook you up. We had a 2 br 2 bath suite , in room laundry was a nice touch. Fun place for kids and people who like to have fun, would go there again some day.

Head a hour north to Rincon. Plenty of condo type rentals that have full kitchens and you can walk from one end to the other in about 20 mins. LA Panita is right next and a 10 peso bus ride. Way quieter than PV and full on Canadians. Food is dirt cheap and so is eating out.

Never been to Rincon myself but my Grandma goes every year for 3 or 4 weeks. Seems to like it.

Never have stayed in PV , but a lot in Cabo and other spots in Mexico ...
I can highly recommend the higher end ( palace ) RIU resorts ....
Generally they are terrific!

lots of my friends and employees have stayed there, and they all rave about it.

I like adult only, so we've been frequenting the crown golden paradise(adult side) .... there is a family/kids side too, complete with pirate ship/castle in the kids pools.. its huge, loud and too many kids ;)
it is close to downtown(right beside the cruise ship pier), but wonderful https://ca.hotels.com/ho213434/crow...d=ZzZz.ghzsOYca.0.6775503380.10203z018193.d.c

we used to stay in the Buenaventura grand hotel and spa, closer to downtown, and it is family friendly, smaller resort. Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Spa All-Inclusive in Puerto Vallarta, MX | BookIt.com

have found you can't go wrong with many of the hotels down there, as they are a tourist based economy and they truly try to deliver.... good luck :)
