X2 what others said here, Costa Rica is my favourite. In the last year I've been to Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan, Greek islands, Mexico (non touristy areas) and Costa Rica (multiple locations.
They were all great times but Costa Rica is where I will be back. I'm not a fan of main Mexico destinations but if you get off the beaten path it's a great country. Heading to Maui this winter with family, can't beat how easy/simple of trip it is for beaches/relaxation.
You guys need to get away from the all inclusive resorts, that ain't Mexico...
