here's a fun one from yesterday, winched on a dead 568 Cat log loader. the mill tried to swap out the engine, ran into "complications" and decided to send it to Finning. loaded plenty of dead or burnt trucks, cats, hoes, a few delimbers and bunchers...but this was my first dead log loader. resume is complete lol

Having your own shop is a must, fixing lights, greasing, chasing down electrical issues and simply changing oil in the winter sux if you don't have a place to get out of the weather. Definitely a lot more involved then just buying the truck. However I have one for sale if your interested.
I don't have a shop if my trucks are in the shop in the winter there not making money so no use having them

Doing maintenance in the 30 below elements sucks. So for me yes I like a shop.

Looking at new trucks, what engines are guys having good luck with?

DD13?

A29?

Im a Cummins guy, never had much luck with Detroit, although I have never run the small stuff your talking about.

You cant get Detroit in Pacar products, and that is all I will run so I guess I dont have a choice either way.

Yeah probably won't go Peterbilt or Kenworth for a farm truck. Was eyeing up the the Freightliner M106/M112 or the International HV.

Has international turned the corner with the A29 or is this just a revealed Maxxforce nightmare?

Need a crew cab so I think my only options are Freightliner or International.......
