I need some advise and help
I am looking at buying a 2015 truck listed on Kijiji. I have done the Carproof and it came back positive. The pictures look good the price is reasonable the only issue seems to be the mileage. The Carproof said that the truck was registered 04/13/2015 the mileage is 1989 KM, it seems too low for a vehicle that is almost a year old. We are planning to go down to have a look next week, thinking of booking an appointment at the dealership to do an inspection
I just don't want to get hosed
Thanks for your help

Some people have company vehicles or work out if town etc. might be a misprint too

I have a company truck, and my personal truck is a 05 with 144,000K.
I also worked out of town for 11 months a few years ago and I used my truck for 1 week of those 11 months.

1989 KMS is realistic in my opinion

If its to good to be true, it usually is.

Make sure to do a lien search above all, and yeah, a dealer inspection is not a bad idea, see if they know the truck and any history. Maybe an accident or theft and sat for allot of the year?

I only use my truck for hauling sleds (usually a 5 minute drive) and my camper, and probably don't put much more than that on in a year. Definitely possible.

It is possible the mileage is correct but a good inspection even by you would probably suffice. Check close for rock chips/sand pits on the front and inside the wheel wells, tire wear and underneath at frame paint. With that low of mileage I'd be concerned with some repaint maybe and they're trying to dump it now???....run your finger over any edges and feel for a tape line.

my father in law bought a new Duramax back in 2004 and I asked him last week how many km……….. it is now at 29,500 km. The weather has to be awesome before he drives it otherwise he drives his 1977 short box Chevy or the car LOL.

If it's like my 09 dodge half ton it resets it's self back to zero around 67000 km. I would be driving along look down odo would read zero. I sold that truck to Sledwrangler's girl friend I wonder if she had that happen yet?
