I got my Nikwax at sport check here in Leduc. Getting dirty is the main reason I buy black or gray gear. It would be black after a season of me wearing it lol
Getting stains out of riding gear?

I always wore just black too for that same reason but got the orange to be easily spotted and also because I got it for dirt cheap.
I've used oct clean on it once and it worked ok but this time is a lot worse
To treat the oil and exhaust stains I use sunlight dish soap and a scrub brush. Spray n' wash will do also but sunlight or dawn work the best.
Then I rinse out that soap and repeat if I need to.
I then put the jacket in the wash with regular detergent. I do an extra rinse cycle or 2. DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENERS.
I then put the jacket in the dryer on medium heat until it is dry. This actually reactivates the DWR.
After your gear is dry, spray it with water from a bottle or sprinkle some on with your hands. If it beads up and rolls off the gear, you're good-to-go. Go riding! If it soaks in quickly, it's time to re-apply. KLIM and GORE-TEX(r) recommend spray-on DWR treatments like Revivex. This type of DWR is heat-activated. You spray it on your garment's exterior after the wash cycle and toss it in the dryer like normal. Follow the instructions on the bottle. Wash-in DWR treatments are not recommended as they coat all surfaces with the DWR and can negatively affect comfort and performance.
