Gf roped me into watchn that. I was really back n fourth on if he did it. In the end after hearing wat breadon or brandons statement was to the cops and reading about averys criminal history b4 his rape charge made me think hes guilty. BUT i also think the cops didnt have enuff evidence to gurantee a victory so they planted sum of it to make sure he goes to jail.

This is pretty much exactly what I think. That kid couldn't make that stuff up if he tried. It HAD to have happened.

Pretty crazy story. I can see how conspiracy types could think that the cops framed him. They definitely had the motive because there were some important people that were going to be in ALOT of trouble. But after doing a bit of research outside the documentary, it sounds like the evidence against them is extremely damning and not really presented objectively on netflix.

Just awful either way.

The most important details were (to me) ......his fifteen year old niece's testimony, the description of the murder women's plea for help, and of course Stevens choice not to testify....!

He did it , cops knew it and HELPED put him away for good.....sounds like it was a lot more slam dunk than the documentary appeared. Don't think she was killed in the trailer though....
Weird , but I think justice was done....imo

Just got done episode 4. The second I seen his nephews lawyer I figured he was a useless piece of crap. I guess there's a lot more to the story. Not used to watching this much Netflix. 6 more hrs of this story.

Once you start watching you can't stop. Few times I wanted to get up and punch the tv. Very well made. Can't wait to watch a couple more episodes tonight.

I just finished it right now. I knew from the beginning Steven was going back to prison, but I figured Brendan was going to walk. I kinda feel like they are both innocent too.

I kind of think it is a frame up. Everyone involved come across as very dishonest and all the evidence seems too obvious. I've only watched two episodes so far though.

That's exactly what I thought. It's very hard to tell because Netflix could also be twisting it to look that way too. If they didn't leave out any evidence, though, it seems pretty obvious to me.

I just finished the third episode and am on the fence for sure but I do feel the Netflicks crew is swaying the setup of the police etc to show his innocence but there seems to be some information missing that they are not telling. Love the show so far and will finish it as soon as possible. My wife and I have different outlooks on this situation and we debated it for like an hour after the show, it was cool.

Watched 6 episodes so far now. Netflix might be showing Stephens side of the story more but that is how the law is set up. They only have to prove reasonable doubt. The crown has done a very poor job of showing any hard proof at all. I have hard time believing Stephen is guilty at this time, doesn't seem smart enough to pull this off.

I've got to the end of episode 4 and while on the fence, my gut says he is guilty. Who knows what his nephew saw or did, but regardless of the inconsistent stories I think something did happen at the trailer. Where there is smoke there is fire.

Watched upto episode 9 now. After watching the show I think the crown did a very poor job of proving him guilty. There's no way she was killed in the garage. I have lots of doubts that Stephen killed her. I also am not convinced the cops killed her either. The cops defiantly planted evidence but who actually killed her? Way more questions than answers. I beleive the jurors were scared to deliver a not guilty plea to suffer consequences in the community.
