Anywhere within 45 minutes of Tawatinaw?

GLIMMERMAN ENOUGH! We have all given you advice on where to find such information. Enough is enough. No need to keep asking the same question everyday! When someone has something they'll find this thread at post the information. Please stop with the daily post of the same thing.

Sledderglen asked a question, I should have phrased my answer better I guess.

No, I have not found any trails around Tawatinaw yet.

The reason I am trying hard to find some is the people I will be going with always go around the Long Island Lake area.
I'm thinking that they might mean the snowmobile trails there, but I am not sure. So in case that is where they want to go, I would like to have an alternative.

those are the only posted trails around that area. if there are more nobody has posted them or doesnt want to share them. i have kind of found that people want to protect thier riding areas form the yahoo's that like to go rip it up and be idiots on the trail. your best bet would be to go on a ride with your local friends or watch for posted rides in specific areas. i know with the outlaws that once on a ride and you talk to some people you can normally find out some pretty good riding areas that they know of. as for the 45 minute mark. i believe bruderhiem and redwater would fall into those catagories. the long lake trails would be right close too. without riding around there and timing it i would say about 15 minutes away. if you were willing to go a little further you could check out vega. thewre is lots of trails and a good mix of terrain there. i would think that that would be around 1 hour to 1.5 hours away from there. as for the rest of it i know that the back country around there has tonnes of unadvertised trails. most are on private land and i would suggest being careful on those trails. respect the private property signs and ask permission. or you m,ay be facing some buckshot farmers. as well as some pretty good fines, possibly charges.

another thing you could do is google earth. look for interesting looking terrain on the sattelite maps and check those out. some of the areas wont be suitable but some i have checked looked to be good areas.

Ok, so there is a Long Island Lake, and a Long Lake, both of which have trails then?

Long Lake is straight east of Long Island Lake, and definately close to Tawatinaw.

Anybody know how the trails around Long Lake are right now? Sounds like a good place to check out to me, thank you.

Long Lake is By Boyle and Long Island Lake is by Westlock Im not sure if there even close, check your google map.

There is a difference of 97.1 km between them according to Google

Yeah, it is east about 100km or so.

From Tawatinaw/Rochester where the ATVs are stored, it is about 45 minutes to Long Lake.

Now, are there trails near Long Lake, I thought I have read posts about it, but it could be that people are referring to Long Island Lake instead.

Actually there are good trails at both locations. Alot of people get both of them mixed up too. I was told one day were going to Long Lake, then they said to meet at Wallmart in St.Albert, I thought that was a little odd, So I went and sure enough we were heading to long island. Go to the photo gallery and see my pics theres both area's in there.

How/Where can I view pictures?

Long Lake trails, are they ATV friendly this time of the year?
Where is a good staging area to access the trails there?

Sorry for all the questions, thank you for your patience everyone.

I would say wait about 3-4 more weeks. Bruderheim has some good trails and riding that if your anxious you can get into there. You can find the information on the main page left side navagation menu. Theres the photo gallery there, look up my photo's or you can go to riding area's as well that has full directions and info on the Bruderheim area. But for now you'll have to wait to ride the atv. You could check the Outlaw Atv club site, go to the links section and you will find it there.
