I do believe you can shoot and animal that is trespassing on your land . ie cow, bull, calf, sheep but alot of you would call that sheep in with your rubber boots on. LMAO

That's awesome. Only in Southern Saskatchewan I thought. lol.

Are you retarded? Move to Texas if you want to kill people for simply trespassing!

Okay, please read all the posts before you spout off stupid ch!t like this, you tard. You will see that I DO NOT want to shoot anyone.

If the truck was driving in between the house and the sleeping kids, who in they're right mind would be firing a rifle in the direction of the sleeping kids. Next you'll say it was okay because whoever was aiming higher then the tents

Now for this one, I thank you very much for pointing this out, like many have stated, Weibo is a Wacko. He probably didn't care, he'd blame it on that crazy gas coming across his land that makes him go insane, especially when he's smoking that crack stuff from a tube.

Follow these simple techniques.

1. 12 gauge shot gun....
2. 1 box of 3" magnum #6 shot shells....
3. Gently open the ends of 6 maybe 7 of the shells.....
4. Remove the steel shot from the gently opened shells.....
5. Fill gently emptied shells with ROCK SALT......
6. Gently re-close the 6 maybe 7 shells.....
7. Wait for the first dip shoot that comes on your posted no trespassing property.
8. Have loaded 12 gauge ready to rock and let'er fly...
9. Deny any knowledge of any person(s) shooting anything at unlawful snowmobilers.

And if you do happen to get the culprit he will give your property a very wide berth ever after,,,,,,, hurts like hell trust me.

Yep you can shoot someone on your land in texas just has to be posted that you will be shot for trespassing as well as the posts on the corner have to be a color i believe it is purple learnt this last year when i was working down in west texas their was a nice valley about 5 km away that i was going to walk to and another guys said you can walk their but if you are caught trespassing the owner can shoot your ass same as with intruding into your house you can shoot someone but kill them or else they will sue you for compensation due to their injuries. Pretty crazy but that is how it goes in texas.

What did a certain Ralph say "Shoot, shovel, and shut up ??" :)

He was commenting on the mad cow disease. Farmers took a financial beating when they should have shot, shuveled and shut up.

There is only one case of someone getting away with shooting a trespasser in Alberta that I know of. It was an elderly couple that had two drug addicts trying to break into their house. They were on the phone with 911 (recorded facts of B&E) and the guy that owned the house told the criminals over the phone that he had a gun and would shoot unless they got off his property. The criminals continued to try to break in and after three warning attempts, the old timer put a round through the front door.

He got away but he had loads of evidence on his side.

Guy in Chestermere/Strathmore area killed a guy that broke into his house, no charges were laid against homeowner. This was about 2 yrs ago. This was one scenario where the legal system actually worked and protected the rights of the victim.

Nope, but I'd lay money it's higher than here. For violent crime anyway.

I'll take that bet. probably lower because people realize there may be consequences for their actions.

Don't want to start a war but out of curiousity I did some quick research on violent crimes in Texas and Alberta.

Texas
120,000 Violent Crimes
24,000,000 population

=500 violent crimes per 100,000 citizens

Alberta
31,830 Violent Crimes
3,300,000 population

=965 Violent crimes per 100,000 citizens

Number are for 2007 Texas and 05-07 Alberta

So Texas has less violent crimes.

the texas crime rate would be alot lower if they didn't have the flood of illegals that reside or try to reside there. and there are some super sketchy areas of texas.

it is where i did watch the most impressive way of stealing 1200cc HD get ripped off though. 4 guys with two pipes walked up to the back of a pickup with the HD in the bed, put the pipes through the wheels lifted straight up out if the bed carried it about two spaces over and put it in the back of another pickup with out opening a single tailgate.

Felt sorry for the guy who lost his harley, since all i did was call the cops. i didn't think i had enough caliber of a pistol for those bears to even try and stop em.

keep in mind that different jurisdictions have different methods of reporting and categorizing crimes as well as different definitions for types of crime (violent, non-violent etc...). This distortion is even seen across different provinces within Canada.

Not saying that they are higher or lower, but something to consider.
